I completed my 12th in 2021 and was trying for NEET but now I want to switch my career path and want to do bsc hons in maths or biology so can I get government college especially DU in 2026 if I attempt CUET 2026?

gopi 24th Aug, 2025

Hi Rekha,

Certainly, if you qualify CUET in the year 2026, you can apply to B.Sc. (Hons.) Mathematics or Biology at DU (Delhi University), even though you completed your 12th Level in the year 2021. Delhi University does not have any upper age limit for undergraduate admissions and eligibility is based on having passed Grade 12 with the relevant subjects and qualifying to sit for the CUET in that admission year (2026). If you sit for CUET 2026 and get a good score, so long as you meet the subject criteria and percentage criteria for the specific course, you would be eligible for admission to government colleges, like colleges admitted to Delhi University.

I HAVE STUDIED CHEMISTRY, BIOLOGY, MATHEMATICS AND NUTRITION IN 10+2. WHAT COURSES CAN I PURSUE NOW?

Nikita shahi 20th Aug, 2025

This combination opens a lot of doors for you because you have both biology and mathematics along with nutrition. You can go into the medical side by preparing for MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BHMS, or B.Sc Nursing. You can also explore paramedical and allied health sciences like B.Sc Nutrition & Dietetics, Biotechnology, Microbiology, or Environmental Science.

Since you also had maths, engineering-related programs like B.Tech in Biotechnology or B.Pharmacy are available too. If you want applied courses, you can try B.Sc Agriculture, Food Technology, or Genetics.

Thank you!

My score in CUET ug biology is 158 can I get bsc forensic science Hons in Vikram University. My category was general ???

Rithwik Kumar Sahu 16th Aug, 2025

With a CUET-UG Biology score of 158 in the general category, you are eligible for B.Sc. (Hons.) Forensic Science at Vikram University, which requires only 40% in Class 12 (Science stream); although the exact cutoff for this course at Vikram isn’t published, similar universities have had cutoffs around 158 for general category, meaning your score is right on the borderline, so you stand a fair chance of admission if you apply on time and actively follow the counselling process.

My score in CUET ug biology is 158 can I get bsc forensic science Hons in Vikram University. My category was general ???

Rahul Mandal 14th Aug, 2025

Hello,

Sorry, but with a score of 158 in CUET biology for a general category student, you have a very low chance of getting admission for forensic science honors at Vikram University. Especially in popular and very competitive programs like forensic science honors. However, you can still check cutoffs for this program at a specific university.

I hope it will clear your query!!

Are medical colleges accepting two marksheet from two boards (cbse and nios) if I failed in only chemistry from CBSE board and gave exam from NIOS only for Chemistry.!!?? And I overall passed from cbse board with 5 subject Chemistry, biology, IT , English and health and education

Afreen 19th Aug, 2025

Generally, medical colleges accept two mark sheets (CBSE and NIOS) if you failed a subject like Chemistry in CBSE but cleared it through NIOS, making you eligible for NEET and subsequent admissions, according to NMC guidelines.

Ensure that, combining both mark sheets, you have passed Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English as core subjects, meeting the minimum aggregate percentage (e.g., 50% for General, 40% for SC/ST/OBC).

However, it's always recommended to confirm specific college requirements and NEET guidelines to avoid any potential issues during counseling or admission process. You should be prepared to present both marksheets and, if necessary, explain the situation during the admission process.

Nikita shahi 19th Aug, 2025

Hello,

Thank you for your question!

Yes, many medical colleges do accept mark sheets from different boards like CBSE and NIOS, as long as you meet the NEET eligibility criteria. In your case, even though you passed Chemistry through NIOS, and the other subjects like Biology, English, and Physical Education through CBSE, you have a valid combination of 5 subjects, which is required. The NMC recognizes NIOS, so you're eligible for NEET and MBBS admissions, provided:

  1. You have passed Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English individually
  2. You meet the minimum required marks (50% for general, 40% for reserved)

Always carry both mark sheets and explain if asked during counselling. This situation is not rare, and many students go through NIOS for improvement and still get into medical colleges successfully.

All the best!
