Hello!
The eligibility for B.A. one year course is that the candidate must have discontinued his/her education and have an academic gap of at least 3 years after his/her class 12th or discontinued 1st and 2nd year from UGC Recognised University, can apply for one sitting exam. In this 3 years course will be complete in one year by giving all exams in one sitting only.
Also if you are a CA student you can directly give one year B.Com. exam in IGNOU. The ICAI and IGNOU have a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between them, which allows students pursuing CA to complete B.Com. degree from IGNOU by sitting in all the exams once only.
I hope you understood the conditions of one year BA degree program and one year direct degree program in IGNOU which is for B.Com. only.
Thank You
Reply for any doubts
Grade E means you have scored marks less than 40% and the qualitative level is unsatisfactory and your point grade is 1/5. Therefore, yes, the grade E in whether it is B.Ed. or any other course means fail or unsatisfactory or re-appearing in the examination.
Dear Shashwat, when an Accademic programme is designed, it is designed so as to prepare you for a world of higher studies or a career. So the curriculum of a B.Sc degree is designed to be spread over 3 years. The minimum duration that this course needs to be studied in is 3 years. There are no 1 year B.Sc courses and you cannot attempt a 3 year course in 1 year. There are diploma courses that run for a period of 1 year.
Hello Vishvendra,
I would like to say that, in any institute or college you may study, because every institutes have their own way of teaching, this is my view about institutes but if you want to know that which is better, then you should ask the individuals who is or who was studying in that institute.
You should focus on yourself and your study.
Thanks for query on this platform, you may visit again for further queries.
All the best.
Dear Shashank,
Thank you for sharing your query with us, I would like to help you out my providing every single detail that will erase all your doubts. So, please carefully go through the information that I provide.
Indira Gandhi National Open University has enabled a system of getting higher education for the students who do not have the qualifications of 10+2, which is your BPP program or Bachelor Preparatory Program.
But, this is in no way equivalent to to 10+2 so, searching for a job without having completed your 12th standard can be a huge problem. would advise you to complete your 12th from a recognised board because that will increase the chances of your getting jobs.
Today every other organization has high demands and even higher expectations. So having a recognised degree will be useful for you in the long run and ensure a stable future.
You can apply to complete your 12th from NIOS, I can give you the details regarding it.
NIOS is a recognised Board just like CBSE or ICSE. It offers school education through distance mode just like IGNOU except it offers in higher studies. Students can admit themselves under different streams such as the study centre, regional center, facilitation centre, for secondary and senior secondary.
NIOS also has a system of complete online admissions.
There are many steps that you can know if you check out their official website here: www.nios.ac.in
There is no upper age limit for admissions, hence, you can easily apply, but there is a restriction on minimum age criteria that should not be less than 15 years for senior secondary courses.
To get a good job, the criteria nowadays require a 10+2+3 degree or equivalent from recognised board and university. Various jobs have their own eligiblity criteria but this is the minimum qualification you would require to get a decent job. Also, if you wish to apply in Government Jobs the ones that require 10+2 or above qualification will not allow you to appear. So, right now the best viable option is for you to complete your 10+2.
I hope this solves your query, feel free to ask if you have any other questions.
Cheers,
Arpita Goon.

Good Luck!
Even though it is a distance learning university, IGNOU has well-furnished regional and study centers. Library facilities are specially great – they have a huge collection of academic books, reference books, and journals. There is Wi-Fi in a few of the centers, and a hygienic cafeteria for students who are on campus for extended periods.
My study center is muralidhar college which is pretty decent college. the college staff was very rude ever since i been there for the first time they were very rude even changed some rules related to studies which they were not meant to.
It is an open university so we don't have ani specific building as our college. but the study center where we are elected to was nice. The faculty was nice too. clean classrooms, good professors and staff.
