Hello Aspirant

Doing 2 courses at the same time is not unheard of and is actually a good option, rather than doing another degree later. It saves time and looks good on your resume. But, keep in mind your future goals because that plays a big role in deciding which course you'll be doing via distance education. If you wish to become a teacher, I would suggest do your BEd from regular college, and not distant because schools prefer teachers who have in hand experience in  BEd course.

If you are planning to do both courses from distance education, please don't. It serves you no good and is a waste of money and time. I'll suggest you to do at least one of the degrees from a regular college.

Hello,

Yes, candidate who has completed their Master's from IGNOU can apply for UGC-NET. The eligibility criteria of appearing in UGC-NET Exam is to score an equivalent or more than 55% in their Master's CGPA.

UGC-NET Exam happens twice a year. The June cycle has been re-scheduled. The second cycle will take place in the month of December.

A BCA degree from IGNOU is absolutely valid for appearing in the UPSC Civil Services Examination (CSE). IGNOU is a recognized university by the UGC (University Grants Commission) of India.

The BCA program itself may not directly cover all UPSC syllabus areas that are more humanities-oriented. However, it can provide valuable skills in:

  • Problem-solving
  • Analytical thinking
  • Logical reasoning
  • Information technology

  • IGNOU BCA as an Online Education Platform
    • Advantages:
      • Flexibility: IGNOU's distance learning format allows you to study at your own pace while managing other commitments.

      • Cost-effective: It's generally less expensive than regular universities.

      • Nationally recognized: The degree is valid throughout India.

    • Disadvantages:
      • Self-discipline required: Online learning demands strong self-motivation and time management.

      • Limited interaction: Less interaction with professors and classmates compared to a traditional setting.

      • Practical considerations: Fewer opportunities for hands-on labs or projects, crucial for some IT fields.

Hey,

Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) is a good university. IGNOU is a central government university that was established in 1985. It is accredited by NAAC, approved by AICTE, and recognized by UGC. IGNOU degrees are considered valid when applying for higher education, job opportunities, and government jobs.

The quality of study materials is good and that it's not easy to pass the exams. It is worth graduating from IGNOU because the university courses are authorized and recognized by the University Grants Commission.

However, it is difficult to get a job with a degree from IGNOU without any other degree or experience. Students get 6 to 8 books per subject and have to study all books.

Hope this helps you.

Greetings!

Non-verbal communication, as explored in IGNOU's BEGAE 182 course, offers several advantages. Firstly, it can convey emotions and feelings effectively. Facial expressions, gestures, and body language provide a nuanced understanding beyond words. Additionally, non-verbal cues enhance clarity. Visual aids, for example, can simplify complex information. Non-verbal communication is also crucial in cross-cultural interactions, where gestures and expressions can bridge language gaps. Furthermore, it plays a significant role in building trust. People often rely on non-verbal signals to gauge sincerity and authenticity. In professional settings, strong non-verbal communication skills contribute to effective leadership and teamwork. Understanding and utilizing these non-verbal elements can greatly enhance the overall effectiveness of communication, fostering better connections and mutual understanding.

Even though it is a distance learning university, IGNOU has well-furnished regional and study centers. Library facilities are specially great – they have a huge collection of academic books, reference books, and journals. There is Wi-Fi in a few of the centers, and a hygienic cafeteria for students who are on campus for extended periods.

Not so great to be a part of

College Infrastructure

My study center is muralidhar college which is pretty decent college. the college staff was very rude ever since i been there for the first time they were very rude even changed some rules related to studies which they were not meant to.

Good experience, worth it overall.
