Sri Lakshmi Narayana Institute of Medical Sciences (SLIMS), Puducherry was established in 2006. SLIMS Puducherry offers various undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programmes. The courses at the Sri Lakshmi Narayana Institute of Medical Sciences include MBBS at the UG level, MD and MS at the PG level and a PhD in Basic Medical Sciences at the doctoral level. MD and MS courses are offered in various disciplines such as MD Radiology, MD General Medicine, MD Community Medicine, MS Orthopaedics, MS General Surgery, and MD Dermatology Venereology and Leprosy. 

Before applying for any of the courses, candidates must check the eligibility criteria set by the SLIMS Puducherry. For admission to various courses at Sri Lakshmi Narayana Institute of Medical Sciences, Puducherry, candidates must appear for the NEET examination for MBBS course admission and the NEET-PG entrance examination for PG course admission. Admissions are done based on the marks obtained in the entrance examination, followed by counselling rounds. Candidates must meet the cutoff set by the SLIMS Puducherry to appear for the counselling rounds.
