Completing an internship from a government agency or department gives you an edge over others for your future employment chances and your resume a boost. Such internships not only provide you enough exposure on how to deal with challenging work, but you can also gain valuable learning experiences while working with high-ranking government officials. You would get to know how government agencies work, and how to manage your time and responsibilities effectively. Most offer a stipend in the Rs 9,000 – Rs 10,000 range and are based in New Delhi. With one exception, they are not online work-from-home jobs.

Internships at National Fisheries Development Board (NFBD)

Location: NFBD Hyderabad, NFFBB; Bhubaneshwar, NERC, Guwahati

Duration: 8 to 12 weeks

Stipend: Rs 9,000 per month

Eligibility: Should be an Indian studying or studied Bachelors of Fisheries Science or Masters in Fisheries Science

Location: New Delhi

Offered by: NITI Aayog

Duration: 6 weeks

Perks: Certificate

Eligibility:

• Undergraduate or postgraduate students or research scholars enrolled in recognized institutions in India and abroad

• Has scored 70% or more marks in all the years or semesters till the date of application

• Students who have appeared for the final examination and are awaiting the results can also apply

Law and Justice Ministry Internship Programme

Location: New Delhi

Offered by: Ministry of Law and Justice

Duration: 4 months, can be extended till 6 months depending on the circumstances

Eligibility: Final year law students from a reputed or registered university

Application deadline: Open throughout the year

Directorate General of Foreign Trade Internship Programme

Location: New Delhi

Offered by: Ministry of Commerce and Industry

Duration: 2 months

Stipend: Rs 10,000 per month

Eligibility: Final year law students and students with graduation degree in Law management, Finance, and Economics

Competition Commission Of India Internship Programme

Location: New Delhi

Offered by: Competition Commission of India

Duration: 1 month

Stipend: Rs 10,000 (as cash prize)

Eligibility: Must possess a good understanding and academic knowledge on subjects like law, finance, economics and management. Students who already got placed are not eligible.

Online Summer Internship Program 2022 at IIIT Allahabad

Location: Online

Offered by: IIIT Allahabad

Duration: 6 to 8 weeks

Eligibility: Students who are currently pursuing B.Tech (II, III, or IV year)
