48 MonthsBachelor of Technology (B.Tech) in Automobile Engineering is a four-year full-time undergraduate program recognized by AICTE and offered by the Manipal Academy of Higher Education, Manipal.
The B.Tech program in Automobile engineering deals with the study of various engines and their construction, electrical systems, alternative fuels, safety, economics and quality of an automobile. For a better learning experience, students are exposed to case studies and problem-based learning, brainstorming, written tests, computer simulation, group discussions, industrial training seminars, and projects. The graduates are placed in organizations specializing in products and services related to the automobile industry, software solutions, product and technology, like Tata Motors, Mahindra & Mahindra, Daimler India Ltd, Honda 2 wheelers, Tata Consultancy Services.
Eligibility Criteria
Indian Boards -
- Pass in 10+2 or equivalent with Physics, Mathematics and English as compulsory subjects along with Chemistry / Biotechnology / Biology / any technical vocational subject* as optional, from a recognized Board, with minimum 50 % aggregate marks taken together in Physics, Mathematics and any one of the optional subjects
A level -
- Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry / Biotechnology / Biology / Computer Science or any technical vocational subject* as optional subject in the ‘A’ Levels and English in the ‘AS’ / IGCSE / GCSE
- Minimum grade required is an average of ‘D’ grade in Physics, Mathematics and any one of the optional subjects
IB -
- English, Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry / Biotechnology / Biology / Computer Science or any technical vocational subject* as optional subject (preferably Mathematics and Physics at HL level)
- IB Diploma or IB Certificate with minimum average of 4 points for Physics, Mathematics and any optional subject* with overall minimum of 24 points
- Minimum 3 subjects in HL and 3 subjects in SL

Yes it has all the necessary infrastructure such as basketball court and other sports facilities. It has smartboard facilities for every class and free wifi is provided. Labs are having good equipment. such as glass equipments and chemicals in chemistry lab and computer labs etc We have a library with bunch of books and peaceful environment. These all are well maintained by certain authorities. We have clean spacious campus and the food available in cafeteria and hostel are hygenic.
