Not a good college if keeping placement in mind

I would like to put few point on 1. Infrastructure 2. Placement 3. College life 1. The infrastructure is quite good, but when it comes to washrooms they lag behind, insufficient no. Of washrooms and unavailability of bathroom in each block ( like old civil block) and each floor ( almost in all block the case is same) 2. Placement may be good for cs/is and some what for ece but no core company comes here, also they are so much obsessed with attendance that they didnot even allows internship. So your field exposure will be zero( except due to vtu norms they have to take you once for industrial visit). Some of my friends who got 8 lakh package lost their offer because the college didnot gave noc for internship. But this is not the case for other colleges, and many IT company prefer hiring interns( they provide paid internship and And 90 % of the time confirms the job as well) 3. Now coming to college life you can enjoy it here like anywhere else ( this has to be a talent in you) . but there will be lot of attendance issue. Other than that the college adminstration is too slow and it seems as if they dont trust thier own student. For even a small work such as attestation you have to go all around the college taking various signature. Its really humiliating to feel while going around proving your identity even though you are wearing the id card. The system here is also very old school, they are not upto the todays digital world. And yes apart from being a very costly institution they will make you pay a lots of fine and fee unnecessarily, and you will be force to pay for sake of your exams. In respect with the syllabus here as this is a autonomous institute, its better

Infrastructure is really good compared to other colleges. Some faculties are brilliant and some others not so much. Placements are just like any other college in the cities top 5-7 colleges. Great location, access to public transport and grand fests and functions.

According to the placement, the college is good compressively, but what the real fact is that most of the placement is for accenture companies and the civiland mechanical branches. The core companies wouldn't land up ,even if they land up also, they won't take many students.

College life is awesome

Dayananda Sagar College of Engineering is located in the southern part of Bengaluru. It comes in one of the few colleges across Bangalore that is situated in the heart of the city. The infrastructure of the college is stunning. Located on a hillock in a total area of 29 acres, the college offers several vantage points. Ranging from the heritage block to the latest meditation centre, the college has a diverse architecture. The faculty of almost all the engineering branches are quiet experienced. But frankly speaking, the faculty can be improved. The placement in the college is sound. The college does not qoute 100% placement but manages to get a good legion to be placed. Coming to the core branches, the scope of placements are limited. There are only a handful of companies coming to the college for recruitment. The college offers various hostel facilities depending upon the affordability as well as the convenience of the students. The college has around 5 food corners in the campus which offers a variety of snacks/food. Students from almost all parts of the country come over to attain technical education from this institution. As the college is located in South India, still the student ratio of North-South is around 50% Overall, the college is affordable. Also, the fee structure for various students varies according to the way of their admission (CET, COMED-K, Management Qouta).

Good environment, main focus on academics. Minimal involveme

Batch of 2016 | BE Construction Technology and Management
The college is part of the gargantuan Dayanand Sagar Institutions (DSI) campus which spreads over acres of land and is home to several other sister institutes. As you enter the campus on your bike, you are directed to the parking lot which is humungous with hundreds of bikes parked every day (Parking is charged at Rs. 5/- every day and doesn’t go down well with everyone). There are more than a dozen engineering fields offered; from the usual CS & IS to Aeronautical to Construction Technology. However, barring CS & IS, majority of the students from all other branches hold a unanimous opinion, “TERRIBLE” faculty. about 70% of the students get placed, most of them in Infosys and HCL, two major recruiters here. Computers Science and Information Science sections record 100% placements with ECE, EEE & Telecom following suit.

DSCE is one of the top rated colleges in Bangalore. The infrastructure on the whole is amazing ;buildings, libraries, classrooms, labs, Wi-Fi, e-books, everything. DSCE has a very colorful crowd with a healthy mix of girls and boys all blending around perfectly.Altogether 4 or 5 canteens lay spread out around the campus. The students are very chilled out here. The placements are great here. It's a great place to enjoy with your friends. The faculty is not that good in few branches. That's the only compromise.

It's good for hanging out with friends. You can learn many extra activities such as music, fashion ,dance etc... Now regarding study it's similar to any other engineering college of India. The placement in my year in Electronic & communication was almost 90%.But in civil it was below 5%. So if you want placement than join electronic & communication , computer science, information science. One thing is the enjoyment you will get. You will have best moments of your life. And on lighter notes girls more hotter than any other colleges of Bangalore. The local police is not good. They always look for making out money. Some locality people will not cooperate .But if they become friend than you will enjoy there company also. And one more problem is language, they prefer Kannada for communication. Kumar swamy layout branch doesn't have sufficient ground for playing. You can find many north Indian cooks in that area. The college has maximum exposure. The students after pass out has good reputation.

This is my 2nd year in DSCE campus and I'm happy to be here. This college is inside city and has a verry attractive campus. It is now an autonomous campus and has good teaching facilities. The college hostel is very good( since we pay in huge amount) and has seperate hostel for NRI students. Our college is internationally recognized. Coming to campus recruitment our college has verry good placement records and placement training programs are held in college to get recruited. And u'll be happy for having this college

Its a great feeling to be a DSCian. Its one of the top colleges in Bangalore with all the facilities available. The faculty here is good but some dont even know what they are explaining. I feel the teaching here should be improved as its not upto my expectation. But if anyone want to enjoy their engineering life along with studies, this is the right place as the extracurricular activities here are just awesome. Overall, its a good college and I would suggest my juniors to be a part of DSCE.

Hey guys plz dont make the mistake of joining this college. Its the worst college I've ever seen. Unwanted rules [No t-shirts, No mobiles allowed,,]etc if security see it they won return it back even if u are ready to pay fine. In the CS dept many lecturers are inexperienced. They'll make u sleep. Talking of placements, only 2 major recuriters Infosys and HCL.. Who wants a job in these two companies can join this Coll, no other company will come for campus interview.

Awesome college. Huge campus with both engineering and dental in same place. It is autonomous. Placements are alright. It is in residential area so transport is available. There are many fun places to hangout if you bunk class. Really cool college. There are a lot of foreign students. You can get in through KCET or Comed-K. There is also a DSSAT entrance exam.

It is a very good college. The lecturers know what they are doing and teach well. There is a more practical approach to the topics too. The placement of the college is comparitively high and there is a separate department related to entrepreneurship. Overall its a preety good college.“Great experience". The college has so many courses.it is student friendly . It has a really good infrastructure. The faculty is also great. College life is chill and nice. the surroundings are great It has a football ground,a gym, basketball court, tennis court and a great canteen. the crowd is awesome. It has a decent college life , enjoyable enough. Academics , well if you are keen enough , the faculties are supportive . So for a determined mind , you can gain quite a lot of experiences and a good enough exposure to life from here. Would recommend it definitely. Placements are average, not extraordinary but better than most.

All That Glitters is not Gold

Batch of 2017 | BE Chemical Engineering
Looks appealing for the aspiring student, auditoriums, tennis court, football field, tall glass buildings, air-conditioned canteens, classrooms with projectors and so on. It's when you join that you realise that it's all just a facade, it's really just greenhouses with no airconditioning or windows and old rusty equipment. The buildings arent well planned, the labs use outdated equipment, the Chemical Department is tiny, the food is mediocre, the parking is charged and not big enough resulting in scratched bikes. The mess serves rice with soda in it, the hostels are a pain and really expensive too, the rooms are small and are 3 sharing. Had to force the dept. to arrange for an Industrial Visit(occurs once in 3 years) and also for permission to attend technical fests outside. Guest lectures occur very rarely(occurs once in 3 years), Internships are not offered by the college. The college is currently transitioning from VTU to Autonomous, and this is just going to make the money minded management exploit the students further. Core Companies do not visit and when they do take only 3 students or so. The Professors lack professionalism and treat us like school children and expect similar behaviour on our part, many of them are perpetually frustrated due to the college paying them far lesser than other colleges. Classes are back to back and focus on the dictation of notes due to lack of textbooks. Labs have outdated instruments resulting in manipulation of data for correct results. There should be more focus on Technical and Cultural events. Workshops should be held, Club system etc should be introduced. The College just gets worse with each passing year. All the money is put into things that make the college look appealing and not into labs, and classrooms. All in all the college is held back by the management - when it comes to classes, professors, labs, and general infrastructure.

College is good looking. You 'll enjoy ur life there. But when comes academics, it's completely on your hands. Faculties are not bad... Some are good and some are really horrible. it's ok being there... I 've been there through management. Did my first 3 semesters good... when it came for my project phase, I got a very good guide He has thought me what engineering is. He helped me out throughout.. though I had to take one more year to finish it, I came out with handful of practical knowledge. This was one of the very good things which happened to me in the whole course. I happened to meet many good ppl there. So overall its fine being there.

Good learning, personality development programs, technical talks, seminars and workshops and cultural events all made the college life enjoyable along with learning. The Infrastructure is really good with proper lab facilities. The faculty is also good however I feel some of them need to upgrade their skills apart from the syllabus in course books. In-campus hostels make the life easy for students however the infrastructure for Indian girls hostel is not up to the mark. There should be better room facilities with attached bath. Students get enough Placement opportunities. The placement committee organizes many placements drive and they try their best for 100% placements. I was campus placed in Capgemini India. Overall I had a great experience in college.

College have poor study technique, professors are not highly qualified in ideas. Don't take admission, they do not know how to organise technical programme. The fees are also very high for comedk students, they just give the assignment to make students pass in the internal exam. Poor education quality, u also feel state wise discrimination ,

This college will give you a free environment (No dress code, attendance is not practically compulsory, they do not call your parents if you bunk, some colleges literally do that). There are a lot of interests groups (they were fairly active) but yes all professor's like in any other normal college will love those students who are good at academics.

It's the best college in terms of infrastructure and college life. My personal experience has been real good. The faculties are not so good for first-year students but are cooperative n helpful especially wrt shortage of attendance and internal marks. With various departmental fest , quizzes , n games will keep u fresh n happy throughout the 4 years. Frankly speaking you will be more indulged in games n fest rather than studies. So for those you who want to enjoy these 4 years must join dsi.
