Our college has very good infrastructure. Classrooms are well-equipped with projectors. Wi-Fi facility is available on campus. Library has a great volume of books and digital libraries are also available. Canteen and hostel facilities are provided on campus.
Faculty members in our college are experienced, friendly, and very supportive. The course curriculum is designed in a way to make students industry-ready. Our department invites guest lecturers and hosts webinars, so students can have interactive sessions with industry giants.
Placement opportunities provided in our college are good. The highest salary package offered is 10 LPA and the average salary package is 6 LPA. Top recruiting companies are EY, KPMG, PWC, and HP. The roles offered are consulting, tax analyst, and compliance analyst. Placement preparation programs are conducted to help students with placement coaching and to crack the interviews.
Hostel facilities were not good. The fee varied from Rs. 22500 to Rs. 115000. There were no single-seater rooms. All rooms were double-seaters. There was an NRI hostel for foreigners with extra facilities, but most students opted for rental rooms nearby the college, which were very cheap
Faculty members were very supportive and friendly. They were well educated. They had great knowledge and experience. Classrooms were well-equipped with modern teaching patterns and technology. Every four months, internal exams are conducted. Exams are not very hard to pass.
Placements were very good. Some of the very famous companies, like PUMA, HDFC, Havells, EY, PAYTM, etc., visited here. Almost everyone got a placement. Some students got placed in more than two companies. After the degree, we opted for startups.
Infrastructure is the worst. Hostel fee is very expensive, and they don't provide the same facilities (not worth it). Food is okay. They will be increasing the hostel fee year by year. Common washrooms for girls, and no proper care in the hostel. Infrastructure is not good.
Faculty is okay. You will be writing exams once a month. A 7.5 CPA is enough for getting placements. Some teachers teach well, but some don't. Semester exams are very easy. You will be asked every question from your PDFs itself. No worries about exams.
Placements are good. If you study well, you will be placed. People who don't have any backlogs will definitely be placed for at least 4 LPA. People from Karnataka joining through KCET can choose this college. The highest package in 2024 is 54 LPA. The average is 6 LPA.
Infrastructure of DSCE is good with beautiful department buildings and a park. The campus has a total area of 29 acres and it is green. Each of the department is well-equipped with the equipment required for their field. There is no shortage of any form of equipment or opportunities for performing our desired task in that field. There are two types of hostels for boys and only one type for girls.
Faculty members for the first year which I have got are good. They help with our doubts and follow the method of writing on the board for teaching. Each of the faculty member is well qualified in their respective fields/subjects. Overall the teaching quality is good in comparison to other colleges of the same levels. Semester exams are between moderate to slightly hard
Placement status of DSCE is quite good in comparison to other colleges. For the CS and Electronics branches, the highest salary package offered is around 11 LPA, and for all the branches it drops down to 5 LPA. For the year 2024, the placement percentage was 97.8%. Internship opportunities are also great for us. This college has a dedicated cell for placements and internships to help students get their placements and internships at various companies and areas.
The library of this college is very good. It is the biggest library in Bangalore. The infrastructure is very large. It consists of 5 floors. This college has a digital library. The hostel fee of this college is too much. There are 2 hostels in this college. One is Indian Hostel, and the other is NRI Hostel. The yearly price of NRI Hostel is Rs. 2,15,000. The fee of Indian Hostel is Rs. 1,80,000
Teachers are helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable, but some are not. Our computer teacher does not know much. She teaches us by mugging. This course is very relevant because, in the coming years, this branch will be on top. Our incoming world is totally shifting towards IoT. Semester exams are easy only. They are not so tough. The pass percentage is 40%.
My course is new in this college. It has happened just 2 years to this branch in this college so students did not get placed now. After 2 years, placements of this branch will be done. Top recruiting companies for this course are not selected now but for CSE core, it is Google.
Infrastructure is not at all good because there are no Wi-Fi provisions in the college and no proper benches and fans in classrooms. Only the acceptable thing is the library, which has a good collection of books and some equipment in the labs are also old and not functioning properly
Teachers are good but some of them don't have proper knowledge and when it comes to the curriculum it is always rushing to complete each semester. Some of the courses in the curriculum are not at all relevant. Semester exams are medium
There are almost 100% placements in my college. The highest package now offered was 56 LPA and the lowest was 3.6 LPA. All the top IT companies like Accenture, LTI, Mindtree, Infosys, IBM, etc. come for recruitment. Very less students have got internships. The top roles offered are SDE, Assistant Software Engineer, etc
College campus is really beautiful and peaceful. You can study anywhere on the campus. Canteen food is good. Sports here might feel under appreciated. College has a wide spectrum of clubs and associations for students with various interests to join. This will help you to connect and communicate with many people.
Faculty members are highly skilled professionals. They know what they are doing. Teachers teach very well, and they stick to the curriculum and help get through the exams. Students have to do courses or be part of workshops on the side to be industry-ready and land their desired jobs.
Spoken to some seniors, they have been placed in decent companies but they had to do extra courses on the side to land those jobs. About 70% of students get placed in top companies depending on their CGPA. Google has been to DSCE to recruit. There is a computer science club and the members are placed 100%.
The infrastructure is excellent. There is Wi-Fi everywhere on the college campus and in the hostel. Classrooms are also good and with a projector. The library is very good. There are all types of books in the library. A digital library is also available, but the ground is small.
Faculty members are good and friendly. They are well-qualified PhD holders from well-known institutes. They are very helpful but some are not from that good college. The course curriculum is very hectic and stressful. There are three internal exams in each semester and internal lab assessments. Semester-end exams are normal.
I am in my first year but our seniors got placed with a salary that ranges from 8-12 LPA. The average package is 8 LPA. The highest package is 50 LPA. There are many placement and internship opportunities in college. Computer Science and related branches get good placements. The average package is 10 LPA. Mechanical and civil course placements are not very good.
The infrastructure of the college is very good. Many buildings are newly made or renovated. Each classroom has a projector installed in it for the visual learning of students. The library is well-equipped with the latest books in it. The hostel is also good but the fee is high. The mess food is average. There is a big sports ground in the college. Tennis and basketball courts are also there.
Teachers are highly qualified. Some of them are also Ph.D. holders. Sometimes, they start speaking in Kannada which makes it difficult for other state students. There are 3 internals and 1 semester-end examination in each semester. The passing percentage is 40%.
I am a CSE student. There is so much demand for CSE engineers. The packages are also quite decent. The average is 10 LPA. Top companies like Amazon, Wipro, TCS, and IBM visit the college. The highest package last year was about 51 LPA. Internship opportunities are also good as Bangalore is a tech hub.
The infrastructure is good, but there is no campus; it's just a building of 6 floors. Although the labs and classrooms are centralized AC, and Wi-Fi is connected all the time. All the labs and classrooms have smart boards and whiteboards, which enhance the learning experience.
Teachers are good and well-educated as well. Some of them hold 15+ years of experience, and some of them have PhDs in their subjects. The curriculum is good, with a mixture of theory and practical in the subjects, and the exams are also well-structured and managed.
Placement of the college is not top-notch, but they are decent and increasing day by day. The average package is about 9 LPA, and total placements are about 80%. The highest package offered by the company was 11 LPA, and it was Amazon who offered it. Now, Google has also come for the placement.
Since SNQ seats are often branch-specific, changing your branch in the 2nd round can cause the quota not to carry over. Check DSCE’s official counselling guidelines for quota rules. Immediately contact the college admission office and explain your 1st round SNQ allotment. Keep all proofs and allotment letters ready. They may reconsider or guide you on options. If not, you may have to accept the new branch or try for SNQ in future rounds.
Since you got SNQ quota in the first round for DSCE but a different branch in the second round without SNQ, it may be because SNQ seats weren’t available in that branch. You should contact the college admissions office immediately and explain your situation. Ask if your SNQ quota can be retained for the new branch. You can also reach out to the counselling authorities to check if a manual correction is possible. Act quickly, as quota changes have strict deadlines. Keep all your original SNQ documents ready for verification.
Hey Karthik:)
Thanks for reaching out!
With a KCET rank of 7,727 under the 2A reservation category your chances of getting CSE at Dayananda Vidyasagar College Of Engineering (DVCE) are at borderline but possible, especially in later rounds .In the previous year cutoff trends, closing rank for CSE under 2A category was around 7,500 which places you slightly above the past cutoff. So admission in the first shift is unlikely .You may have a chance in 2nd or later rounds depending on seat availability, cut-off movements and dropout cases.
Your rank is close enough to the cutoff to keep DSCE CSE as a hopeful option especially if you're open to later rounds but keep strong backup options ready and stay updated with the councelling process.
