Vidyalankar School of Information Technology (VSIT), Mumbai, is one of the most reputed institutes offering a variety of undergraduate and postgraduate courses in the field of Information Technology, Commerce, Management and Mass Communication. The admission cycle for VSIT usually flows with the calendars of Mumbai University- the affiliated university for the institute. Dates may change each year; however, prospective students should be preparing their applications months in advance for a generally familiar kick-off of school, sometime in July or August. Broadly speaking, eligibility for admission to VSIT programs requires that the student has passed through the 10+2 program from a recognized board for undergraduate programs and a valid bachelor's degree for postgraduate programs. Specific academic requirements might differ a little for each of the courses.
Application Process
Vidyalankar School of Information Technology, Mumbai's method of application for separate courses is interchangeable and generally follows such steps:
1. Begin at the official VSIT website and go to the admission area.
2. Select the program of interest and read eligibility criteria and requirements carefully.
3. Fill in the online application accurately, detailing personal and academic information.
4. Upload the mandatory documents as per the course applied. These usually include:
5. Payment of the application fees by using the prescribed mode of payment.
6. For the Ph.D. application, the prescribed form along with photographs, photocopies of certificates of date of birth, educational qualifications, and qualification/proof of exemption from PET must be submitted at Principal's office.
7. One should then keep track of the status of the application through the application number or login credentials given.
8. Depending on the program offered, candidates who are shortlisted will eventually be required to go into further rounds such as an interview or an aptitude test.
9. After selection, candidates will need to complete all admission formalities, including document verification and payment of fees, within the timelines stipulated.
10. Attend the orientation program and start your studies at VSIT.
Degree Wise Admission Process
B.Sc.Information Technology- This is one flagship program at VSIT with an approved student intake of 300. Probably based on merit of the qualifying exam (10+2 Science), the admission process may also include consideration of the scores of entrance exams.
B.Com Programs- Specialized B.Com programs are offered in Banking and Insurance (60), Financial Markets (60), and Accounting and Finance (180). Admission to these programs is typically based on the performance of the candidates in 10+2 Commerce.
BMS (Bachelor of Management Studies)- With an intake of 180 students, BMS admissions are purely on merit, following the reservation policy as per the norms of the Government of Maharashtra.
BA Multimedia and Mass Communication- The approved intake is 120, with admission possibly based on 10+2 marks along with a creative aptitude test/interview.
M.Sc. Information Technology: A master's program admitting 60. General procedures would include consideration of the performance in a cognate bachelor's degree and may include entrance test/interview.
M.Com Programs: Banking and Finance, Advance Accountancy, and Business Management constitute the M.Com programs offered by VSIT, with each having 60 seats reserved for admission. General eligibility criteria are based on the bachelor's degree scores of candidates in Commerce or its allied fields.
Ph.D. Business Economics: The 16 seats in this doctoral program need candidates to have passed the Ph.D. Entrance Test (PET) conducted by the University of Mumbai in the subject concerned; some candidates would be exempted from PET under certain clauses.

Helll student,
Cut-off changes every year. It depends upon a a lot of factors such as the exam pattern, the number of students appeared, the number of students qualified, the exam difficulty level, whether you belong to any category or not. It varies from state to state.
For arts cut-off ranges within 80–85% for Arts, and
For Commerce and Science, it is 75-85%
When third list comes, it closes at 70–80%.
It changes depending upon the category you belong to.
Often few seats remain vacant in several olleges ter after the third list, do again college starts its admission process again which is the second phase admissions. However, you can only appear in the phase second if you had applied in the first one.
Fees structure varies from college to college. It may vary from 18000-40000. It depends upon few factors such as your performance, state and college
It would be more helpful if you could specify any college for fees structure. This us the average range of fee structure.
Hope this helps.
