As per your academic scores, you are eligible to apply for CAT exam. However, to study at top B-schools including IIMs and other CAT participating institutes (MDI, SPJIMR, FMS, etc.), you would need to score a high percentile in the exam. For ex. the CAT cutoff for FMS Delhi is above 98 percentile and the same goes for old IIMs (Ahmedabad, Lucknow, Calcutta, etc.) So, you would need to score at least 90 percentile and above to get into the admission process of the top B-schools.

If you qualify the cutoff of top B-schools, you would be called for the selection rounds - WAT, GD and PI. After that, your overall performance including your past academic records, work experience and other factors will be considered before the final admission.
