Marks scored by you in higher secondary will decide your fate. I Would like to suggest you the following counselling procedure.
Obtained at least(50%) marks in aggregate(average marks in four subjects excluding Environmental studies/Education if it is compulsory subject)
Students also need Minimum (45%) marks in the subject or related subject at the 10+ 2 levels.
You have to Obtained minimum (55%)marks in the subject or related subject.
Each institute follow some basic procedures to calculate index mark through which merit of student is obtained. Marks in core subject should be excellent, it will make your index mark high.
