Improvement exam can be given for one or mpre subjects and not necessarily to give all 5 subjects.

You can give improvement where you scored least so that your total gets above 75%aggregate or you are alternatively in top20 percentile of your board to qualify for IIT, NIT, IIITs and GFTIs
