Hello,

It depends entirely on the admission schedule, IGNOU does offer enough time for candidates to take admission, for instance admission for July session is ongoing till 15th October, IGNOU does offer admission with late fees as well, but remember that if you don't want to pay extra fees, then just wait for few months, for instance January session application form usually comes out in the month of December, due to covid the schedule may or may not change for January 2021 session but even if it doesn't commence in December, then most definitely by January admission process will happen. Admission takes place twice in a year for IGNOU: January and July Cycle, for more details regarding this, visit official website at ignou.ac.in

Hii there,

Dear candidate your question is quite incomplete but yet, if you have registered for the college or say semester exam once then whenever the exam would be held doesn't matter, your college has your records so you don't need to resubmit your exam form for internal or external issues. If there is any competitive exam you are talking about, then also once registered then you don't need to do it again.

All the best!

Hello,

If you don't want to opt for online admission, then you can choose to go for offline mode, it's just that in the recent times 2-3 years online admission has gained prominence in IGNOU, earlier one used to visit the study centre or regional centre as per convenience and pay Rs 200 for the prospectus, then the entire process used to be followed, such as filling in the form, attaching all the documents, paying the requisite fee by bank draft and sending the complete form filled-in with demand draft, relevant document photocopies etc and send the send via speed post.

Hello,

When it comes to applying for admission in IGNOU in online mode, then you'll need scanned photograph, signature and marksheet or certificate of 10th, 12th and graduation, hence there is no such requirement of uploading admit card as such, you can choose any of the above between marksheet or  certificate, even if you're applying through offline mode, attaching photo copy of your educational qualifications are enough.

Hello,

As I told you earlier 30% weightage is offered to assignments in IGNOU, total is 100 marks , and now how much you'll get depend totally on how well you have written it and the person checking your copies will be solely responsible for awarding you that particular marks, you'll get the guidelines in assignments question paper which you will be able to access once it's uploaded for your session.

Hello,

Since last year IGNOU has started following CBSC pattern, but the semester wide exams happen only once in a year, first and second semester exams will take place in first year, third and fourth ones will take place in second year, and fifth and sixth will take place in third year, so your exams will happen annually only, if you have taken admission in July Session of 2020, you'll be appearing for June TEE next year, IGNOU also offers flexibility, so for some reasons you cannot appear for June TEE then you can also appear for December TEE , for more details regarding this, check out: https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&url=http://www.ignou.ac.in/upload/programme/PROG_GUIDE_History%2520HON.pdf&ved=2ahUKEwjqucet_q3sAhWHfH0KHbW6CZ4QFjAAegQIGhAC&usg=AOvVaw3KmudtavNVFLMQ0C86s8K1

Hello,

Assignments are usually of 100 marks, and yes, 30%, weightage is given to it, you have to write it in your own handwriting and submit the same, for appearing in June TEE last date is 31st March for December TEE last date is 30th September, these are generally the last dates but as per norms things can change, for instance this year due to covid extension was offered to students in terms of deadline.

Hi there,

In regular MA you have to attend the lectures and you have to be a permanent student of the college where as in ignou you don't have to be a permanent student you just have give exams, this was launched to benefit thosa who works and wants to pursue this degree that's why this was started.

Still the value of regular classes are more than this but this also has certain amount of recognition.

I hope this helps

Hello,

You have to submit your assignments to your concerned study centre, as per the norms you have to give it to the coordinator of your study centre, this year what happened is due to covid pandemic majority of students have to submit it in online mode by scanning the assignment register(your assignments should be written in your own handwriting, it's mandatory), so students submitted the assignments through google form provided by concerned regional centre, your assignments will be available on the official website of IGNOU only, no need to worry about such stuffs, and it's within your syllabus only, see study materials provided by IGNOU are very good, it's written in simple and lucid language, and with self-efforts you can fetch very good marks.

Hello

See if you're taking admission in online mode, then you have to pay the requisite fee in online medium only through net banking/credit card/debit card, if you want to go for offline admission mode, then you can pay the fee through demand draft in the favour of your concerned regional centre,  it has been few years admission process is done in online way in a huge manner as it's more convenient and easy, for this you should visit the official website at ignou.ac.in ,download the prospectus for more details regarding this.

College Infrastructure

Even though it is a distance learning university, IGNOU has well-furnished regional and study centers. Library facilities are specially great – they have a huge collection of academic books, reference books, and journals. There is Wi-Fi in a few of the centers, and a hygienic cafeteria for students who are on campus for extended periods.

Not so great to be a part of

College Infrastructure

My study center is muralidhar college which is pretty decent college. the college staff was very rude ever since i been there for the first time they were very rude even changed some rules related to studies which they were not meant to.

Good experience, worth it overall.
