MITS Gwalior Facilities

Madhav Institute of Technology and Science has various facilities and infrastructure for the students and faculty. The infrastructure and facilities include a central computer centre, library, sports, medical and dispensary, hostels, guest house and a gymnasium. Detailed description on all the facilities provided to the students, staff and faculty members of MITS Gwalior are mentioned below.

Central Computer Centre- The timing of the computer centre is from 10 AM to 8 PM. The centre is equipped with all the necessities and the computers are updated with the latest software.
Library- The library of Madhav Institute of Technology and Science has various books and textbooks and reference books for engineering graduates, postgraduates and PhD curriculum in civil engineering, mechanical engineering, electronics, electrical, computer science and information technology, and architecture disciplines.
Sports- Sports facilities like badminton courts, volley courts, basketball court with floodlight, multipurpose ground used for cricket, football, hockey, track and field, table tennis, chess are available in MITS Gwalior.
Medical and Dispensary- OPD consultation, dispensing of medicines, injections, dressings, minor surgical procedures, daycare facilities, blood sugar testing, ECG, vaccinations, awareness lectures, nebulizer, OPD are available in Madhav Institute of Technology and Science Gawlior.
Hostels- Separate hostels for both boys and girls that are equipped with all necessities.
Guest House- The guest house of MITS Gwalior is provided with all basic facilities for comfortable stay of guests.
Gymnasium- The gymnasium provided inside the campus of Madhav Institute of Technology and Science is well equipped with all necessary equipment. A trainer is also there to guide and train the students during their workout sessions.

Boys Hostel
The Institute has three boys hostels.
Girls Hostel
The Institute has two girls hostels.
Medical/Hospital

Gym
The college has Gym facility for the students.
Library
Central Library currently houses over 1,00,000 books, e-journals from Science Direct, ASME and ASCE under E-Shodh Sindhu & INFLIBNET consortium. The Institute has a high-speed LAN with the backbone of optical fiber and manageable switches. The institute is equipped with 100 MBPS leased line from NKN, which is providing high-speed 24x7 internet facility in each nook and corner of the Institute.
Sports
The institute has cricket, basketball, football and tennis grounds, and badminton court along with facilities for indoor games. The institute has been successively receiving awards and top ranks in many sporting events such as Table-Tennis, Badminton, and Basket-ball at the nodal and state level. Prizes are also won in Kho-Kho, chess and football.
I.T Infrastructure
The Central Computer Center is the crown of MITS Gwalior. It has very high-end facilities. It is admired by the IT people not only from India but from the abroad also. The IIT experts organized a multimedia conference in the Center and admired its functioning. The Institute has a high-speed LAN with the backbone of the optical fiber and manageable switches. The center is equipped with 100 MBPS leased line, which is providing high-speed 24x7 internet facility in each nook and corner of the Institute including academic area, hostels and residential blocks. There are UPS, which are supplying the uninterrupted power supply to the servers, computers, and switches. The LCD projector enhances the presentation and explanation capability.
Cafeteria
The college has a canteen facility for staff and students.
Auditorium
The college has an auditorium facility for events and seminar.
Alumni Associations
The college has a good networking for alumni association.
Wifi
The college has Wi-Fi facility for the students and staff.
Laboratories
The Institute has state-of-the-art infrastructure, well-equipped laboratories.Central workshop, a core unit of Madhav Institute of Technology and Science, Gwalior was established in 1957. The workshop has enough space, sophisticated machines and tools for performing various practical. A basic training in the workshop satisfies the degree requirement for engineering during their first or second semester. Practical classes of B.E. (Mechanical Engineering) and M. Tech. (Production Engineering) are also conducted with the help of trained faculty & staff in various shops. The EDM, ECM, Plasma cutting machines are installed with other conventional machines. Recently the NC, CNC machines installation are in progress. The renovation and up-gradation work has started to meet out the present scenario requirement.
Convenience Store
The Institute has Stationary & Photocopy shop, Amul Parlour, Coffee Shop etc.
Banks/ATMs
The college has the Banks/ATM Facilities for all students.
Guest Room/Waiting Room
The college has guest house/waiting room facilities for visiting faculty and student family members.

College Infrastructure

Many people don't know about the college because of less marketing. ROI of this college is very good for which one can prefer this college to other colleges present in the same league. Faculties are highly experienced. One can get good industry exposure by working in so many projects offered to the students. The dorm life is fun and the college administration takes special interest in ensuring that students co-curricular and extra-curricular exposure is at par with the best colleges around. Campus is huge and scenic, that too at the heart of the city. Placement can be best described as Average at this point, but it is slowly improving with more of the alumni rising into prominence in the corporate world.

College Infrastructure

the college does not have all the necessary facilities and equipments. the classrooms are all over good but can be made better. as for the libraries its not as equiped and big. the living spaces are clean and hygienic and as for the canteen the food is not so great.

College Infrastructure

MITS Gwalior is a poor college in terms of infrastructure. The college lags important and necessary facilities like proper Wi-Fi coverage, Canteen and sports area. Library is available but that too has a very limited pool of books.

Electrical Engineering Department of Madhav Institute of Technology and Science is a very good department and the Internet of Things is offered by Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidyalaya Bhopal.
Application of IoT in Electrical engineering:

IoT SCADA : SCADA is centralized monitoring and control of remotely located generation and transmission systems. It consists of various parts such as actuators, sensors, controllers, and communication devices. The IoT SCADA is a step beyond the SCADA. The IoT SCADA provides real-time signal acquisition and data logging using the internet and IoT servers. IoT integrates the devices, machines, sensors, and other electrical equipment with the internet.
Smart Metering : Traditional electrical equipment like electrical units reading the meter, when integrated with IoT reduces operational costs by managing the meter from the electricity office. It also detects energy theft and losses.
Smart Grid : The power generated can be utilized in an optimum manner as per the load demand with intelligent equipment devices installed at each of the sub-station. The IoT can automate these substations and can better address the optimum distribution of power to these sub- stations especially during peak hours.

Dear applicant Electrical Engineering Department of Madhav Institute of Technology and Science is a very good department and the Internet of Things is offered by Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidyalaya Bhopal. Yes it is indeed a good programme offered, you will receive good placements too. Although this college has good infrastructure and all the desired facilities.

Hello,

Its totally depend on you, which course you are interested most.

If you are interested in Cs then you can choose from both the colleges. In BIT Mersa , you face little bit tough to handle with your coding side by side your mechanical engineering course. You get great number opportunities in your mechanical core and IT companies in BIT Mersa.

In MITS Gwalior, every year, about 600 students are placed. Last year, three different packages were offered: the highest was 12 LPA, the lowest was 2.5 LPA, and the average was between 3 and 4 LPA. Top employers include L&T, TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Tech Mahindra, and Flipkart. CSE, IT, electrical, mechanical, and other areas are only a few examples. 16 LPA is the highest package currently offered by Amazon. You will be placed well if you are a high student. Most people are offered internships.

If you want mechanical course then choose BIT Mersa because it is the best college and get better opportunities in mechanical core companies.
