Bidhan Chandra Krishi Viswavidyalaya Nadia has a dedicated placement cell. The placement cell of BCKV Nadia is responsible for handling all the matters related to the recruitment and training of students. The objectives of the BCKV Nadia placement cell are - to help students for placement after graduation & post-graduation, to identify the industrial problems from industries and other corporate sectors suitable for students’ project work, etc. Students of the university are involved in interactive counselling sessions with the members of the placement cell. This helps the students in deciding what career path to take and increases their employability. The university has tie-ups with important national organizations to assist the students to get suitable placement. Campus interviews are conducted by various organisations regularly. The placement cell explores the opportunities for placing all its students incorporates, industries, government and financial institutions. Training and conference facilities provided by the university include LCD projectors, audio systems, air-conditioned seminar hall, video conference centre, lodging arrangements, etc. BCKV Nadia placement cell remains open from monday to friday. Bidhan Chandra Krishi Viswavidyalaya Nadia placement data shows that in the last 2 years more than 100 students got placed in the department of agriculture of many states, departments of horticulture, nationalised banks, assistant professors in different universities, ICAR, etc.

Placements

There is no placement available. This is the most irritating and wasted part in term of money investment in it. Long ago there is placement facilities are available. Lack of tie up with private sector of agriculture industry .

Very bad placement. Actually no placement facilty. Only some off campus facility is available by some teachers but that's in negligible quantity . This is the worst part of our college . But for brand value maximum student took admission in this college .

Sir i get 439 in wbchse 2020. can i get a chance in Bidhan Chandra Krishi Vishwavidyalaya for B.Sc agriculture?

Dear Aspirant,

Bidhan Chandra Krishi Vishwavidyalya (BCKV) is a public university affiliated to UGC and ICAR. The university is renowned for its focus upon education and research in the field of agriculture and horticulture. The main campus of the University is situated in Mohanpur, in Nadia district of West Bengal.

Candidate must be born on or before 01.06.2000.
All the candidates must be a permanent resident of West Bengal. However for ICAR’s nominees there is no such restriction.
Candidate must be medically fit.
Candidate must have passed Higher Secondary examination with English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology, securing at least 50% marks (40% marks in case of SC/ST/PH candidates) in aggregate from WBCHSE or any other recognized board of education.
