IIT Bhilai Facilities

Indian Institute of Technology, Bhilai, provides well-structured infrastructure facilities to its students. Infrastructure facilities play a vital role in student's development and in making their institutional experience a memorable one. IIT Bhilai facilities include a well-stocked library, cafeteria, and medical centre. The campus of the Indian Institute of Technology Bhilai also has facilities for indoor and outdoor sports. For accommodation of students, the IIT Bhilai facilities list also consists of individual hostels for boys and girls. The college has a modern and upgraded IT infrastructure. Indian Institute of Technology Bhilai facilities make sure students are provided with a comfortable environment at the campus.

Boys Hostel
IIT Bhilai is a residential campus equipped with recreation-cum-TV rooms, washing machines, regular dining facilities, night canteens, etc At present, about 450 male students can be accommodated on campus as full-time residents. Academic blocks, as well as the hostels, are under the vigilance by qualified security personnel round the clock.
Girls Hostel
IIT Bhilai is a residential campus equipped with recreation-cum-TV rooms, washing machines, regular dining facilities, night canteens, etc. At present, about 80 female students can be accommodated on campus as full-time residents.
Medical/Hospital
he institute cares about its students and staff and thereby caters to their health needs. There is a health centre in the campus that is available around the clock. The doctors and staff are committed to the student's health and well-being of the campus community by providing quality medical care. The institution has tie-up with nearby hospitals to provide medical assistance in case of emergency. A fully equipped ambulance is available 24/7 at the institute.
Library
Central library is the hub of knowledge generation at Indian Institute of Technology, Bhilai, where more than thousands of educational books and research publishes are offered here. It is a learning Centre that supports teaching and learning activities of students, research scholars, and all staff members. The books are encoded, catalogue and computerized with the new technology system. The library is open even on weekends for use.
Sports
IIT Bhilai has various sports facilities where students can play and practise various sports activities apart from academic studies. They offer indoor game facilities as well as outdoor game facilities such as badminton court, basketball court, tennis court, volleyball court, football ground, carom, chess, and much more. Gym facilities are also provided to keep students health and fitness on track.
I.T Infrastructure
The Institute has two state-of-the-art computer laboratories. The labs have a total of 64 Dell OptiPlex 9020 MT Desktops with 4GB RAM and 500 GB hard disks each, and six Dell Power Edge R 630 servers. The Institute has two high-speed Internet links provided by National Knowledge Network and BSNL respectively. The hostels are connected through campus-wide LAN and provide Wi-Fi links to students to use. The entire campus of IIT Bhilai is Wi-Fi enabled and students can use the network seamlessly across various facilities.
Cafeteria
Cafeteria for hostellers and even regular students are available. They provide food menus for students and staff. Meals are prepped at the most hygiene level to safeguard student's health.

College Infrastructure

The infrastructure at iit bhilai is not that good now, and the new campus is supposed to ready around end of 2022.Currently, the campus area of iit bhilai is around 35 acres, and the new campus is building is around 450 acres. Most of the sports facilities at IIT bhilai are available like badminton, vollyball, basketball,etc. Wifi is very good in Our college

College Infrastructure

Institue is currently functioning on its temporary campus. Well, classrooms are good, fully equipped with AC(s). Library is also present. Hostel facility is available for both boys and girls. WiFi is provided in institute building and hostels as well. Mess is not present in the hostels but a little far away from them. Badminton courts and basketball court are available. In-campus canteen serves food and snacks.

My experience was quite well and average.

College Infrastructure

All the required amenities are well maintained as wellas infrastructure is quite good. Mess facility is average and not at par with the expectations. In a nutshell, it is average and may not fulfil ones expectations of infrastructure at an IIT, but believe me it won't let you feel like a local college too.

IIT BHILAI IS A GOOD COLLEGE???

Indian Institute of Technology, Bhilai, is one of the 6 IITs which was established in the year 2016 in the state of Chhattisgarh by the Ministry of Human Resource and Development. It is also known as IIT Bhilai. The college is recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC). The campus of IIT Bhilai covers an area of 432 acres and it has a total of 45 faculty members.

Although the campus is a new one, but overall the classrooms are extremely well maintained, the faculties are really helpful, polite, qualified. The placement records are best for CSE and ECE branch while for the rest you can expect an average salary.

NIT Raipur or IIT Bhilai??????

Dear aspirant,

If you were to go by my opinion then i think you should take iit bhilai only if you get non core branches but if you are not getting non core branches then i don't think you should iit bhilai as it's newer iit.

Whereas nit Raipur is very good and renowned in terms of placements and academic achievements. Here you can take both non core and core branches. The average package of this college is 8.7L per annum.

Although iit bhilai has 10L average package but that is mainly due to its non core branches and not the core branches.

how is electric engineering at iit bhilai

hello,

As part of new IITs been build this one is surely a good one with all the basic facilities and best teaching member. The college provides moderate speed Wi-Fi. Mechanical labs have the best equipment. Electrical labs have average equipment. Machines labs have the best equipment. Chemistry lab has the safest environment. Physics lab has realistically possible scenarios for experiments. Overall the quality is above average.

Almost 50% of the students get placed. The highest salary package offered is 22.5 LPA. The lowest salary package offered is 6.5 LPA. The average salary package offered is 10 LPA. Amazon is the top recruiter. Roles of a software engineer are offered. The highest salary package offered in our course is 22.5 LPA. The lowest salary package offered in our course is 7.5 LPA. The average salary package offered in our course is 11 LPA. Almost 80% of the students got internships mostly in older IITs.

Amongst the new IITs this one is the BEST.
