The Indian Institute of Management Lucknow (IIML) has launched a new blended Master of Business Administration (bMBA) programme aimed at professionals and entrepreneurs seeking to accelerate their careers without pausing their professional journeys. With a format that blends online and in-person learning, the bMBA offers both flexibility and academic excellence.

The two-year programme at IIM Lucknow is designed to equip working professionals with advanced managerial knowledge, strategic thinking, and leadership skills, while maintaining a healthy work-academic-life balance. Applications are now open, and the last date to apply is August 18, 2025.
According to IIM Lucknow Director Prof. MP Gupta, the bMBA addresses a critical need among experienced professionals who haven’t had the chance to pursue a full-time MBA but are ready to transform their careers. The programme begins on September 25, 2025, and will be conducted in a blended format, combining live online classes with immersive on-campus modules at IIM Lucknow.
Upon successful completion of all academic requirements, participants are awarded the prestigious Master of Business Administration (b MBA) degree by IIM Lucknow.

The bMBA curriculum is carefully developed with the purpose of providing professionals with the foundational knowledge and applied skills for success in dynamic business environments. It focuses on:

Year 1 (Terms I–III): Core Courses
A comprehensive set of 16.5 credit compulsory core courses across all major management domains.
Year 2 (Terms IV–VI): Electives
Students select 14 credits advanced and applied electives and complete a capstone project (2 credits). Options include to add a Course of Independent Study (CIS).

The elective courses offered in the b MBA programme across Strategy, Finance, Marketing, ITS, Operations and Supply chain Management, and HR, aligned with IIM Lucknow’s flagship Post Graduate Program in Management (PGP), ensuring consistency in academic rigor and relevance.
The blended MBA Programme at IIM Lucknow is designed for ambitious professionals and entrepreneurs who want to build on their leadership and management skills. The following are the minimum eligibility qualifications:
Work Experience: Minimum of three years of full-time work experience after graduation as on August 31, 2025.
Educational Qualification:
A bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional qualification (CA/CS/ICWA)
The degree must be awarded by a recognised university/institution in India or abroad
Minimum of 15 years of formal education (10 + 2 + 3 or 4 system)
Minimum 50% aggregate marks or equivalent CGPA.
Candidates are eligible to apply with any one of the following qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from a recognised university
Chartered Accountant (CA) from ICAI
Company Secretary (CS) from ICSI
Cost and Management Accountant (ICWA/CMA) from ICAI
Foreign degree equivalents must be recognised by AIU (Association of Indian Universities)
Candidates should also meet the IIM Lucknow cutoff to fulfill the eligibility requirements.

Bachelor’s Degree (min.50%)
Must have a valid CAT/ GRE/ GMAT/ GMAT (focus) score. (centre-based only), Valid for the last five years (Sep 01, 2020 to Aug 31, 2025).
At least 3 years of full-time experience

Final Selection:

Classes are typically held on Thursday, Friday, Saturday evenings (6:30 pm to 9:45 pm) and Sunday mornings (10:00 am to 1:15 pm). In Year 2, some electives may be scheduled on Sunday afternoons (2:15 pm to 5:30 pm). Sunday (additional, for both years): 1 session, for quizzes etc. as required.
If a scheduled session coincides with a gazette or public holiday on Thursday, Friday, Saturday, or Sunday, the class will be conducted on an alternative weekday (Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday) from 6:30 PM to 9:45 PM.
