The Immunology course is an online course being offered by Swayam. Swayam is an initiative of the Government of India to provide education to students who do not have the required resources. It intends to provide the resources to bridge the digital gap between the students.

This course by Swayam has been built to provide the learners with a broad introduction of the fundamentals of Immunology. Participants of the course will learn about various concepts of immunology starting from cells of the immune system, antibody structure and function, innate and adaptive immune systems, hypersensitivity, TCR rearrangement, humoral immunity, basic immunological techniques, autoimmunity, monoclonal antibodies and vaccine production.

This course is a blend of the basics of immunology as well as the advanced topics. This course will be useful for undergraduate students of Life Science and Biotechnology and students from any branch of life science keen on gaining knowledge about immunology.

Maternal Infant Young Child Nutrition

Maternal Infant Young Child Nutrition is a free course on infant young child nutrition and takes on malnutrition which is one of the greatest challenges in India. The online course longs for 12 weeks and demands 2.5 hours of online sessions per week. Maternal Infant Young Child Nutrition Certification Course will cover malnutrition, nutrition science, newborn care, anthropometric assessment, maternal nutrition, techniques of breastfeeding, and the like.

Maternal Infant Young Child Nutrition Certification is a joint venture of Swayam and IIT Bombay. The course is approved by AICTE and can be enrolled by undergraduates and postgraduate-level learners. So far, more than 2,000 people have registered and taken the online program. Though the Maternal Infant Young Child Nutrition Certification by Swayam is free, the students will have to pay the fee and appear for the exam to get the certification.
