owever taxing it might be on you, the competitive environment doesn’t bog you down, rather it pushes you to achieve more than your capabilities and dream bigger. Your fellow students are always willing to help you in whatever way possible. I’ve been privilged to be in the company of some really talented people from all walks of life, singers, dancers, fluitists, painters, dabaters, sportsmen, gamers, photographers, yoga teachers, beatboxers..the list goes on. The highlight during our first trimester together has definitely been the bond among students created by Camaraderie, the inter-section wars. It had slogans, viral facebook posts, all night dance practice sessions, informants in the opposing camp, frentic quizzing and what not, but there was never any bad blood. I was particularly lucky to have been a part of Alumni Committee at IIM Lucknow. The interactions I’ve had over our esteemed alumni have certainly been thought provoking. What surprised me most was their zeal to learn from students, being such stalwarts of the industry themselves. They are so fond of thier professors that every time an alum comes on campus he or she doesn’t leave without meeting their favourite profs. Their humility is truly awe-inspiring.

Indian Institute of Management, Lucknow (IIM - L) has two campuses, one in Lucknow and the other in Noida. The Noida campus is still under development, and has been marked out primarily for executive education The Lucknow campus is spread over acres and acres of land, and is lush green from the inside. The infrastructure is very good as well. There are hostels for both boys and girls. The campus has one of the best conference halls in the country. It has a well-equipped library and facilities for sports and recreation for students. The campus is completely WiFi enabled. The majority of the crowd, as one would expect, comes from an engineering background. IIM Lucknow has consistently had 100% placements in the past few years. IM Lucknow is often ranked as the fourth best B-School in India, and major credit for this goes to the faculty. The professors are from a rich academic background, with affiliations with top schools like Harvard, Stanford, and MIT.

The experience with IIM Lucknow is very exciting as well as knowledge booster. The infrastructure of the college is very beautiful. In the evening we get a chance to play football ball which is very good. College hostel is superb with all facilities like WiFi, TV, A/c and having a nice canteen for the students and lecturers. Food at canteen is simply delicious and hygienic. All the professors are very friendly and down to earth. While giving classes they try to involve each of us to make the session interactive. The classes attended at IIM Lucknow is the lifetime experience for me.

I had been studying in this college from the past 1 year and I had a very good experience inside the campus, including the hostel. The college life is very good, with the buzz around the campus at any time of the day. There are very good placements also for the batch before us and it looks positive for us also.

Enriching learning exposure with amazing faculty

Posted on 05 Sep' 16 by Nakshatra Bhardwaj
Batch of Jan. 1, 2011 | PGPM for Working Executive
Absolutely an incomparable learning experience without leaving your job. The classroom interactions were so great that both students and faculty took away learnings from the interactions. The rigour of the course was similar to the 2 year PGP program at the Lucknow campus. Best case studies were chosen to impart the subject learnings providing a practical exposure to management. There are no placement opportunities as the course is meant to be for working managers. Students will have to develop skills for the required positions that they aspire to attain. The curriculum is rewarding and learning and equips the students with the right tools, skill sets, attitude and commitment to move up the corporate ladder after this course.

Questions related to IIM Lucknow

Showing 46 out of 46 Questions

I have 81% in 10th & 61% in 12th & 60% in graduation(B-Tech). 0 work experience.I can eligible for IIm L,C,K,B,I.FMS? and What is the CAT %le required (C-OBC) to get into these iims?

Sampriti Student Expert 18th Jan, 2020
The top IIMs require atleast 80 percentile for the OBC candidates but considering your profile you must score minimum 85-90 percentile in order to get a call from the top IIMs and for FMS you should have a minimum of 90 percentile in CAT. You must equally focus on other factors like maintaining a good sectional cutoffs of 85-90 percentile in all the 3 sections.

If you're planning to appear for CAT in 2020 then you still have some time. Try to work on your profile like participating in national events or doing certain internships as that will increase your chances of getting a call and will also help in further career expansion.

Good Luck

Hi iam having dyslexia, and government hospital certificate for learning disability, can I get pwd (person with disabilities) quota in iim for mba

Harshita Gupta 18th Jan, 2020

IIM has given the criteria for PwD under the " Rights of person with Disabilities Act 2006" and according to it, a person must not have disabilities less than 40% , which means disability should be 40% affective.
The categories of disabilities considered under the Act are as follows:
  • Blindness and low vision.
  • Deaf and hard of hearing.
  • locomotor disability including cerebral palsy, leprosy cured, dwarfism, acid attack victims and muscular dystrophy.
  • autism, intellectual disability, specific learning disability and mental illness.
And few others. So according to the last point mentioned above, you are eligible and might get admission in pwd category if you meet the requirements of scores and cut-off and if you fulfill the criteria.

hope this helps!

10th perecntage is 97,12th is 98.3, BTEC goa is 9.17, cat percentile is 93.22, female ews category. I got a call from iimL, what are my changes with C?

Sampriti Student Expert 7th Jan, 2020
You've a pretty good chance of getting IIM Calcutta considering your CAT percentile and your academic background. The final selection process of IIM C is a little easier than that of IIM L which focuses more on the knowledge  of general business .

Moreover IIM C usually considers  the diversity and provides good platform to ews,sc or st students . So you definitely have good chances. So just give your best in the interview and you can easily get through it.

All the very best

Do the new and baby IIMs provide dual specialization? What is the criteria? Please explain.

Sonali Sahu Student Expert 31st Dec, 2019

They provide dual degree program to some selected students. For IIM calcutta:- the process is selection through CAT/GMAT score. Then going through other screening tests. If you qualify then  you will get an admission. The process will be same for all the IIMs but may be the cutoff mark will vary with respect to campus location.

New IIMs are worth joining as said by the students who joined and they had a good experience there and they adventured many new things. Fee structure and hostel facilities are also good.

For more details you can check the dual degree program in IIM webpage. For IIM calcutta :-

Hope it helps!

Can I directly take admission in IIM Lucknow without appearing in any of the competitive exams like CAT MAT etc.

Aditya Saini 25th Dec, 2019

hi shagufta.

hope you are doing great

If you are thinking that you are going to get admission in any of the IIM without going for the entrance exam then I must say that you are totally mistaken dear because there is no such rule by which you can admission directly into an IIM.

The Best and only way to get into an IIM is to go by clearing the exam of CAT like the rest of the students are doing in their career.

Eligibility criteria for CAT is as follows :-1. Graduation from a recognized university 2. Percentage :- 50% or more 3. No Subject Bar 4. No Age Bar

hope it helps
