GECG: Admission, Courses, Fees, Placements

Government Engineering College, Gandhinagar was established in 2004. The college is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). GEC Gandhinagar is affiliated with the Gujarat Technological University (GTU), Ahmedabad. GECG courses include B.Tech and M.Tech. in different specialisations. GEC Gandhinagar admissions are offered based on the student’s performance in GUJCET/JEE Main for B.Tech programmes and GUJARAT-PGCET/GATE for M.Tech programmes. Admission Committee for Professional Courses (ACPC) is the authority responsible for conducting counselling for Government Engineering College admissions.

GEC Gandhinagar Courses

The college offers UG and PG courses in the stream of Engineering and Architecture. The GEC Gandhinagar courses include B.Tech. and M.Tech. The basic eligibility criteria of the GEC, Gandhinagar B.E courses is that the students should qualify 10+2 examination in the relevant field. Students should have a bachelor’s degree with at least 50% marks as the minimum GEC Gandhinagar eligibility criteria for M.E courses.

GEC Gandhinagar Admissions

The college offers admissions in the streams of Engineering and Architecture. The GEC Gandhinagar has entrance-based admission criteria. The GEC Gandhinagar B.Tech selection process includes qualifying for GUJCET/JEE Main examination followed by attending the counselling process conducted by Admission Committee for Professional Courses (ACPC). Likewise, GEC Ganginagar admissions to M.Tech is based on valid scores in GUJARAT-PGCET/GATE followed by ACPC counselling process. The final step of the Government Engineering College admission process is document verification followed by fee payment.

GEC Gandhinagar Cutoff

The students willing to take admissions at Government Engineering College must satisfy the cutoff released by ACPC. The GEC, GUJCET cutoff includes opening and closing ranks at which admissions are granted for B.Tech programmes. GEC, Gujarat-PGCET cutoff or GATE cutoff are considered for admissions to M.Tech programmes. ACPC releases the GUJCET 2023 cutoff in online mode after each round of counselling.

GEC Gandhinagar scholarships are available on the NSP website and offered by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). The GECG scholarships offered by AICTE include Pragati Scholarship for Girl Students (Technical Degree), Saksham Scholarship Scheme for Specially Abled Students (Technical Degree), Mukhyamantri Yuva Swavalamban Yojana Scholarship, and AICTE- Swanath Scholarship Scheme (Technical Degree).

GEC Gandhinagar Placements

The college has a training and placement cell that handles overall placement activities. The GEC placement cell creates awareness among the students about career options and helps them in identifying their career objectives. 35 Metallurgy Engineering students, 31 CSE and IT  students, 33 Instrumentation & Control Engineering students, 21 Biomedical Engineering students and 23 Electronics & Communication Engineering were placed during GEC Gujarat placements in 2021.
