About GUJCET 2020

 A state-level exam, GUJCET will be held for admission to Bachelor of Engineering and Technology/Pharmacy courses in government, grant-in-aid and self-financed engineering institutions in the state. GUJCET 2020 entrance exam will be conducted in offline mode by Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSEB) on March 31. The application form is now available from January 21 to February 5, 2020. The question paper of GUJCET 2020 will consist of three hours duration and comprise multiple choice questions.

The result of GUJCET 2020 will be declared tentatively in the second week of May in online mode. Please note that the role of GSEB will end with the declaration of result. The remaining part of the admission process, including counselling and seat allotment, will be conducted by Admission Committee for Professional Courses (ACPC). Counselling will be conducted based on the merit list that will be drawn up by giving 40% weightage to percentile obtained by the candidate in GUJCET 2020 and 60% weightage to percentile obtained in board exams.

GUJCET 2020 Eligibility Criteria

GUJCET B.Tech Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria of GUJCET 2020 lists the terms and conditions that the candidate needs to meet in order to be considered for admission. In case a candidate doesn’t meet the eligibility criteria of GUJCET 2020, but qualifies in the entrance exam, the candidate will still be disqualified from the admission process. So, it  is mandatory to meet the eligibility criteria before filling the application form. 

  • Nationality – Indian nationals are eligible to appear in the exam. 
  • State Eligibility – The candidate needs to be a bona-fide resident of Gujarat. In such cases where the candidate is a bona-fide resident but is residing in another, the candidate is eligible to appear in the admission process.
  • Academic Qualification – The candidates must have passed 10+2 (or equivalent) exam from Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board, Gandhinagar/CBSE Delhi/CISCE New Delhi/NIOS/International School Board. Candidates who are appearing in their final exam in 2020 are also eligible. 
  • Qualifying Marks – Minimum required aggregate score in 45% marks ( reserved category candidates need 40% marks).

GUJCET B.Pharma Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria of GUJCET 2020 for B.Pharm candidates can have subtle differences from those mandated for Bachelor and Engineering and Technology courses. So, candidates appearing for B.Pharm must take note of this fact. 

  • Nationality – Indian citizens are eligible. 
  • State Eligibility – The candidate must be a resident of Gujarat. If the candidate is a bona-fide resident but is residing in another, in such cases also the candidate is eligible to appear in the exam.
  • Academic Qualification – The candidates must have passed 10+2 (or equivalent) exam from Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board, Gandhinagar/CBSE Delhi/CISCE New Delhi/NIOS/International School Board. Candidates who are appearing in their final exam in 2020 are also eligible. The candidate must have studied Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects along with any one of Maths or Biology.
  • Qualifying Marks – Minimum required aggregate score in 45% marks ( reserved category candidates need 40% marks).

Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSEB) has released the application form of GUJCET 2020 on January 21 in online mode. Before filling the GUJCET 2020 application form, candidates will have to ensure they met the prescribed eligibility criteria. Also, only genuine and verifiable information has to be used, as each detail entered by the candidate will be checked during the document verification process. In case any discrepancy is found, the candidate may be removed from the admission process altogether.

Steps to fill GUJCET Application Form 2020

  • Payment of fee: Candidates will have to pay the application fee of GUJCET 2020 in online mode. The payment of Rs. 300 can be done through SBI Epay System (credit card/debit card/net banking) or from any SBI branch of the Country through SBI Epay Option of “SBI Branch Payment.”
  • Registration: Log-in to the registration portal using the allotted User ID.
  • Filling of Application Form: In this step, the candidate has to enter personal, academic and contact details. 
  • Uploading of documents: Scanned photograph and signature has to be uploaded in the prescribed format.
  • Submission of Filled Application Form: After checking that all the details are correctly filled and the form is complete in all respects, submit it. The candidate needs to carefully note down the application number that will be generated after submission for the application form.

GUJCET 2020 Preparation Tips

After conclusion of the exam, authorities will release the answer key of GUJCET 2020 that will contains correct answers to questions asked in the exam. The candidate by comparing the official answers will thus be able to calculate the total number of questions correctly attempted and consequently the probable score – for the purpose, the marking scheme prescribed by GSEB should be followed. The probable score can be used by the candidate to access his/her chances of admission without having to wait for results. The provisional answer key will be released first and there was a provision to challenge it. The final answer key will be published after addressing all such complaints.

The result of GUJCET result 2020 will be declared in online mode tentatively in the second week of May. The result of GUJCET 2020 is an important component based on which the merit list will be prepared; the other component being 10+2 scores. GUJCET 2020 result will include details like the marks and percentile scored by the candidate in the entrance exam. 

How to check Result of GUJCET 2020 

  • Go to the result portal
  • Log-in using six-digit seat number
  • The result will be displayed on the screen

The merit list of GUJCET 2020 will be prepared by Admission Committee for Professional Courses (ACPC) for shortlisting candidates for the counselling process. ACPC will release the provisional merit list tentatively in the second week of June. The final merit list, which will be released tentatively in the third week of June will be prepared by giving 60% weightage to 10+2th (or equivalent) percentile and 40% weightage to GUJCET percentile. Candidates who are ranked high in GUJCET merit list 2020 will be called first for counselling, and thus stand a better chance of getting a preferred seat.

The participating institutes will determine institute-wise cutoffs of GUJCET 2020 for admission to various B.Tech/B.E courses offered by them. GUJCET 2020 cutoff will also be category- and branch-specific, is generally the minimum marks below which admission is not offered. So, candidates need to score equal to or higher than the GUJCET cutoff 2020 for the specific institute and branch. Considering the cutoffs are prepared based on parameters like number of sanctioned seats, applications received for admission, and reputation of the institute, they tend to vary from one another.

Mode of Counselling: Offline

ACPC will start the registration process for counselling and seat allotment process tentatively from the third week of May. ACPC will conduct counselling and seat allotment of GUJCET 2020 tentatively from the third week of May to the third week of July. To participate in the GUJCET 2020 counselling process, the candidate will need to first go to a designated branch of Kotak Mahindra Bank and purchase the information booklet and 14 digit PIN number on payment of Rs. 350. Using the 14-digit number, the candidate will be able to register for counselling, which will include steps like choice filling and locking. After submission of the counselling form, the candidate will have to go the counselling venue in person along with all relevant documents for document verification. Seats will be allotted to candidates based on their merit rank and choices filled.

GUJCET 2020 Seat Allotment

The allotment of seats will be done in online mode. ACPC will release the result of seat allotment at the end of every round based on choices entered by the candidate, availability of seats and his/her merit rank. The candidate who has been allotted a seat will have the option to freeze (accept) the seat or opt for up-gradation. To ensure that the seat allotment process goes along in a smooth manner, the admission authorities will hold a mock allotment round before actual allotment. The mock allotment result can be used by the candidate to fine tune their choices. Generally it is recommended that the candidate enters as many choices as possible to have a better chance of admission.

  • Certificate of ex-serviceman, duly issued by the Director, sainik welfare board, Gujarat state or by the district sainik welfare officer
  • A copy of certificate of in-serviceman duly issued by the commanding officer of the respective unit in which he is serving

HSC (Higher Secondary School) seat number is the role code/school code of your Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board in which you appeared for class 12th boards examination.You can get that from that either from your admit card or result.
If you are appearing from boards this year only then get that from your admit card or ask your school institutions.

GUJCET is a State Level Entrance exam for admission to Engineering and Pharmacy courses in the Participating Institutions of Gujarat. Because for studying Engineering Mathematics is a compulsory subject, that leaves Biology students only with B.Pharmacy as the option if they want to appear for GUJCET.

The eligibility criteria set for GUJCET states that the candidates must have a domicile of Gujarat state. They must have passed passed from a school situated in Gujarat. As per BCECE and OJEE eligibility criteria, the students from other states can give the exam with a minimum requirement that they must have at least 60 percent marks in their 12th board examinations for BCECE and at least 45 percent marks for enrollment in OJEE exam. DAIICT ke liye gujcet me kitne marks chahiye?

Hello,

If you want to get admission in DAIICT (Dhirubhai Ambani Institute of Information and Communication Technology) your score in GUJCET should be least 105 and above.That will ensure a 99 percentile in GUJCET and at same time you must also have a boards score of 85%.

CBSE broad provides a unique Roll Code for every school and candicate.The first four digits of CBSE roll no. is that roll code.
Suppose if roll no is 6260999, then the roll code will be 6269.
