Government Engineering College, Siwan (GEC Siwan) is a new institution that is providing quality engineering education to students in Bihar. GEC Siwan adopts a fair and transparent process of admission to get worthy candidates for engineering courses. GEC Siwan is an AICTE-approved institution and is therefore recognized as a competent technical institution.
The GEC Siwan mainly admits students through the BCECE, which is offered by the BCECEB. This entrance test occurs in two stages and evaluates the skills and knowledge of aspiring engineering students.
Application Proces
These are the steps involved in the application process on the way to admission into Government Engineering College, Siwan:
1. Register yourself for the Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination (BCECE) conducted by BCECEB.
2. Fill the BCECE application form available on the official BCECEB website.
3. Payment of required amount as application fees stated by BCECEB.
4. Appearing in the BCECE, which is held in two stages.
5. After the declaration of results, qualified candidates will be eligible to get counseling.
6. During counseling, the candidates have to choose for GEC Siwan and their preferred B.Tech program.
7. The allotment of seats will be done according to the rank of the candidate and availability of seats.
8. Those candidates who will receive a seat will report to GEC Siwan for verification of documents and admission formalities.
Admissions Process Degrees Wise
The five full-time B.Tech programs at GEC Siwan are all for a duration of four years each. Admissions into all B.Tech] programs depend on how much a candidate scores in the BCECE. The institute has a total approved intake of 360 seats across all courses. B.Tech programs conducted are as follows
1. B.Tech Civil Engineering (60 seats)
2. B.Tech Electrical Engineering (120 seats)
3. B.Tech Mechanical Engineering (60 seats)
4. B.Tech Computer Science and Engineering (60 seats)
5. B.Tech Internet of Things (60 seats)
For each of these, the admission processes remain the same. Candidates must qualify in the BCECE, which is conducted in two stages. The final admission and allotment of seats are based on the rank of the candidates in the BCECE and on availability in the program chosen.
