The School of Mines KGF, Kolar, is one of the leading technical institutes for mining and engineering courses. Nestled at Kolar Gold Field in Karnataka, this institute, recognized by the AICTE, has to offer a distinct set of diploma programs to cater to the specific needs of the mining and engineering industries. Diploma in Mining and Mine Surveying: It is the flagship program of this institute having an intake capacity of 40 seats. Admission is done on the basis of the merit list prepared on the basis of 10th standard or equivalent examination scores. This program is designed to equip students with specialized knowledge in mining methods and surveying, relevant to the needs of the mining industry.

Diploma in Computer Science and Engineering: With an intake of 60, this program invites the student for exploration into the world of computer science. The same merit-based arrangement governs the admission with regard to the marks scored in the 10th standard examination. The program structure aims to develop skills in line with the industries for which technology is changing most rapidly.

Diploma in Mechanical Engineering: This program has a feasible intake capacity of 60. Based on the merit list drawn out of the 10th standard examination, admissions are granted. This diploma course attempts to prepare students with good grounding in mechanical engineering principles and practices, for a variety of roles in the engineering industry.
