Dear Applicant,

I hope you are doing well. I can understand its abot of tedious job to choose a college that will benefit you. This can be very confusing for sure. No worries i shall try my best to help you.

The first thing u need to look out in a good college are the following :

  1. Recognization : check if the college is accredited by NAAC or  is linked to UGC, whether its autonomous or the type of course they offer. This will tell you the level at which the college is at.
  2. Placements : if the college offers good placements to you than it's good. Some colleges don't have the potential to offer good placements to their students thus it becomes a drawback. If a college has good ties to highly reputed companies than it will benefit you exponentially.
  3. The environment : the environment or the facilities they offer you like wife, good food, the level of the library etc.. even look out for reviews of the infrastructure.

These are some of the things u can keep into consideration. Choose the college that will provide you the best and caters to the needs of the students and not just fill their pockets with your money. After all you will be paying quite some amount of money to study.

Hope this helps u a bit!!

dear student

In all the aspects comparing with BIT & SIT Tumkur, NIE Mysuru is a very good college because of the teaching faculties and study environment which u will not get in bangalore (faculties might be good but the environment is way bad). Mysore being the cleanest city of India lies in the lap of nature and has best weather in the country. People say about the exposure shits.. But the more bigger city u live in, the more it will be distracting for u, although it depends on u how u use ur resources!! Well as far as NIE is concerned it is known to be the 2nd best clg after NIT Surathkal in the mechanical branch! But this year a CS student has gobbled a package of 28 lakhs which is highest in karnataka. If u get this clg take it or leave it and u will regret later!!

Hey there!

Both the colleges are really good and have their own merits. But I'd recommend Sidganga Institute of Technology over NIE Mysore because of the reviews and placements. Although both colleges are really good so make your choice keeping in mind other aspects as well like location, hostel situation. So, do your own research and then make your decision.

Hello aspirant,

You asked which college is better between sit tumkur & nie mysore.

Look, according to my suggestion, nie mysore is much better than sit tumkur in all aspects. Specially, in placement, it is one of the best colleges in India. The positive & negative sides of this college are given below:

Pros:

  1. Timing of the college is very good, most of the days are half days.
  2. Attendance is not important, but matters
  3. Faculties are with good knowledge
  4. Placements are good really & a lot of descent companies come for hiring.

Cons:

  1. Campus is very small, infact some people who don't know cannot figure out first time
  2. No WiFi in campus & library is not good
  3. To get a thing done in office is quite hectic, since most of the time answer is 'Come later'

So, you may go for it.

Hello aspirant,

The hostel fees for boys in NIE Mysore costs Rs.80,000 which is shared by three persons and is non-refundable. Fresh students have to pay Rs.10,000 as an indemnity deposit. You've to pay through the online payment in time. The boys hostel is furnished with all sorts of facilities such as 24 hour hot water supply, medical facilities, free laundry, Wi-Fi, RO purified drinking water system, elevator facility, 24*7 security with CCTV surveillance, individual study table and cupboard, caretakers for everyday care, nearby SBI ATM , convenience stores, salon, travel desk etc and a dedicated psychologist for student counselling.

Hope, this answer helps you.

HI

as far as I know and based on my research, There is only one institution with name NIE is mysore.

that is national institute of engineering.

it is located in Mananthavadi Rd, Vidyaranyapura, Mysuru, Karnataka 570008

If there are any other institution with that name, please let me know too. because I dont know yet

Hi Aspirant!
The confusion is due to the same name. But the NIE stands National institute of Epidemiology which is located in Chennai,Karnataka while NIE that is for technology stands for National Institute of Engineering and is located in Mysuru, Karnataka.Hence NIE is for medical branch while NIE technology is for the technical field.

I hope it helps!

Happy Huslting!
