    The National Institute of Engineering, Mysore offers admission to various UG, PG and doctoral programmes. National Institute of Engineering admissions is offered based on the merit of the entrance exam. Before NIE Mysore admission, candidates must ensure that they meet the required eligibility criteria. NIE Mysore admission to B.E courses is done on the basis of COMEDK UGET or KCET followed by a counselling process. The NIE Mysore admission to the M.Tech and M.C.A courses are done through the entrance exam- Karnataka PGCET conducted by the Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA). Further, they have to participate in the counselling session. For the Ph.D programmes, candidates have to apply on the website of Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belagavi and appear in the written test  (VTU-ETR) followed by the interview process of the shortlisted candidates.     NIE Mysore Admission- UG

    The institute offers admission to various B.E programmes. The B.E programmes are offered in different specialisations such as Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Information Science and Engineering and Industrial and Production Engineering. The course duration of the B.E programme is 4 years. The eligibility criteria for B.E admission is that the candidates must have passed 10+2 with an aggregate of 50% marks.

    NIE Mysore Admission Procedure- B.E

    • First, candidates have to apply for the entrance exam- KCET or COMEDK UGET. 

    • Candidates need to register and then fill up the application form with all required documents and pay the application form fee for the entrance exam.

    • Candidates have to appear for the entrance exam- COMEDK UGET or KCET.

    • Furthermore, the cut off is released for B.E admission.

    • Candidates are shortlisted based on marks obtained in the entrance exam and they have to further participate in the counselling process for choice filling and seat allotment.

    • Final admission is offered after seat allotment, participation in the institute level document verification and course fee payment.

    NIE Mysore Admission- PG

    The National Institute of Engineering, Mysore offers various postgraduate programmes such as M.Tech and M.C.A. M.Tech is offered under the following specialisation Computer Networking, Mechanical Engineering - Design and Manufacturing, Nano Technology Engineering, Automation and Robotics, Computer Applications, Hydraulics Engineering, Information Technology, Power Engineering, Structural Engineering and Production Engineering. The course duration of M.Tech is 2 years and M.C.A is 3 years. The seat intake of M.C.A is 60.

    NIE Mysore Admission Procedure- M.Tech/M.C.A

    • Candidates have to apply for Karnataka PGCET conducted by the Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA).

    • Then, candidates have to register and fill up the application form for the entrance exam.

    • Candidates need to submit the application form and pay the application fee for Karnataka PGCET.

    • The GATE qualified candidates are exempted from appearing for Karnataka PGCET. 

    • Further, the PG cut off is released.

    • Candidates are shortlisted on the basis of Karnataka PGCET and they have to participate in the counselling process.

    • Final admission is based on Karnataka PGCET scores,  institute level document verification and course fee payment.

    NIE Mysore Admission- Ph.D

    The NIE Mysore offer admission to several doctoral programmes. The specialisations in which Ph.D programmes are offered include Chemistry, Civil Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Industrial and Production Engineering, Mathematics, Mechanical Engineering and Physics. The duration of the Ph.D programme is 6 years.  The minimum eligibility criteria for Ph.D admission is that the candidates must have completed the master’s degree with a minimum of 55% marks in aggregate or equivalent from a recognised university.

    • Candidates have to apply online on the official website of Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belagavi and submit an application form along with all necessary documents for Ph.D admission.

    • Then, candidates have to appear in the Visvesvaraya Technological University Eligibility Test (VTU-ETR) conducted by the university.

    • Candidates who have qualified UGC- NET (including JRF)/ UGC- CSIR NET (including JRF)/ SLET/ GATE/ CAT or any other national level test qualifying scores are exempted from the VTU Entrance test (VTU- ETR).

    • Further, shortlisted candidates have to appear for the interview or presentation. 

    • For the final admission, candidates should get all their documents verified and pay the required course fees.
