Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Information Science and Engineering, Industrial and Production Engineering and Civil Engineering are the specialisations of the B.E programme at NIE Mysore.
Professors in our college are highly qualified and experienced. They are very supportive of both academic and research activities. The curriculum is well designed to meet industry requirements. It is an autonomous college, hence the syllabus is updated from time to time. It is not that difficult to pass exams if you study well.
Teachers are knowledgeable. All have a masters' degree and most have Ph.D. The teaching quality is good. The teachers give separate notes as well to help students. The branch itself adds to the curriculum and helps students get industry-ready with projects and papers. The exams are of intermediate difficulty. The pass percentage is 96%. The question papers are both externally and internally created. There is also paper-seeing after the exam to check the marks and speak to the teacher.
The senior faculty members were good, but the new faculty members are joining now, and they have much knowledge. They use proper powerpoint presentations, and the notes provided is good. They are very supportive in academics and activities.
