Vidyavardhini Institute of Technology (VVIT), Kolhapur, is an AICTE-approved institute imparting diploma programs in all engineering disciplines through a simple admission process laid down by the Maharashtra State Board of Technical Education based in Mumbai. VVIT's admission procedure is made simple for easy accessibility by the applicants. This focuses on the performance of the candidates appearing in the qualifying examinations.
The general time frame for starting admissions for the academic year would typically commence in the months of August or September. However, these dates may vary from year to year; hence, prospective students are advised to keep themselves updated well in advance for the application process. An offering of 10 diploma courses at VVIT includes the following five prime engineering disciplines: Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering, Computer Engineering, and Electrical Engineering.
Eligibility criteria: In order to qualify for admission into the diploma courses, the candidate must have completed his 10+2 education or an equivalent examination from a recognized board. The selection criteria would be based mainly on the marks obtained in the qualifying examination in the subjects pertaining to the specific branch of engineering under consideration.
Application Process
Eligibility Check: Ensure you meet the standards set by the Maharashtra State Board of Technical Education.
Application Form: Fill in the application form, either online or from the institute's admission office.
Document Preparation: Attach the following documents due at admission:
Mark sheets of 10th and 12th standard

Degree-wise Admission Process
Diploma Programs: Five main diploma programs are offered by VVIT, with 60 students being admitted to each:
Diploma in Civil Engineering: The focus of this program is to civil construction and infrastructure development. Any candidate with a strong knowledge background in mathematics and physics can think of this course best fitted for him/her.
Diploma in Mechanical Engineering: This program deals with design, manufacture, and maintenance of mechanical systems. Candidates must have physics-mathematics problem-solving aptitude.
Diploma in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering: This program deals with electronic systems and communication technologies. Any candidate who has a serious interest in electronics and mathematics may apply.
Diploma in Computer Engineering: The course focuses on computer hardware, software, and networking. Candidates with passion for programming capabilities and logically thinking prowess will be suitable for this program.
Diploma in Electrical Engineering: A program dealing with various aspects of electrical systems and power distribution, this course is best suited for candidates with a strong foundation in physics and mathematics.
Again, all of these diploma programs have a provision for lateral entry, allowing for 6 students per discipline. This entry is vital for students who have successfully completed the relevant qualifications and wish to enter directly into the second year of study of the diploma program.a
