Academics
COEP is really tough. The amount of work you have to do is a lot the tests are always. The exams are very serious. Students who were the best in their school often get a shock when they start here. It is much harder. There are many other smart students.
It is good that it is hard. Students who work hard and do not give up become very good, at solving problems. They learn how to do this in a way that's real. The school puts a lot of pressure on you to do well. Sometimes it is too much. It also helps you become stronger and better at dealing with tough situations. When students who graduate from COEP get jobs they can handle the work because they learned how to do this at COEP.
College Infra
The classrooms are mostly in condition and work well. Many departments have been updated with projectors, digital boards and good seating. However the experience varies. Some departments look modern and have equipment while others look a bit worn out and old. The older lecture halls have a feel, to them but that doesn't always mean they are comfortable especially during a long three-hour exam. Very average infrastructure.
Campus Life
The technical festivals, events, departmental clubs and student bodies are run with a serious goal that shows the student bodys character. The technical festival is one of the best events in Maharashtra engineering circuit and you can really feel the excitement around it.
Students here are very curious competitive in a way and can take care of themselves.
The friendships made at COEP. Formed through nights, tough exams and the special bond of getting through something hard together. Last long, after graduation.
Placements
Your branch at COEP significantly shapes your placement experience at COEP.
Computer Engineering and IT students at COEP tend to have the access to recruiters, the highest median packages and the most options available to Computer Engineering and IT students at COEP.
Mechanical and Civil students at COEP have opportunities in the core sector but Mechanical and Civil students at COEP face a more selective market particularly if Mechanical and Civil students at COEP are aiming for non-core roles.
Electronics and other branches, at COEP sit in between for Electronics and other branches at COEP.

The cost of studying there is really low compared to private colleges. For families that're not very rich, which is what most of the students at COEP come from this is a very big deal. It is often the reason why COEP is a good choice for them. COEP students get all these benefits, for a low cost, which is something that many private colleges cannot offer.

The academics in the college is just outstanding as I don't think any other college would provide students option to design their own course in FY, where students can choose what they want from mathematics, sciences , LLC, one or two courses from other branch , vocational and a compulsary core course of you own branch with exams being set at a very high level
College Infra
The college itself being more than 170 years old define the architecture and infra with old heritage buildings stand the new buildings with we'll equipped labs and workspaces needed for every branch in college
Campus Life
COEP has a nice campus and also you have so much work your interaction with people through projects, assignment and clubs makes the best of your campus life. In first year the best memories are created in the college fests
Placements
Placements have never been issue in this college.
So placements are just very good. This year every branch had ample amount of placement with average and median packages better than last year and a nice highest package from CSE branch
Value For Money
Fees being nominal as it is a government college and ROI makes it value for money. Also the services provided for the fees are also good and very few times I had complaints about it. This makes the decision of admission in COEP value for money
