The candidate should have passed 10+2 examination with at least 45% marks (40% in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST category) with Mathematics, Physics, and one of the following subjects: Chemistry/ BioTechnology / Biology/ Technical Vocational subject

B.Tech. 2nd Year (Lateral Entry):

• The candidate should have passed a three/two-year Diploma (Lateral Entry) examination from an Institution recognized by the U.P. Board of Technical Education in any branch of Engineering/Technology except Agriculture Engineering with at least 45% marks (40% in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST category).

OR

• The candidate should have passed three year B.Sc. degree from any recognized University of India as defined by UGC with at least Passed three years B.Sc. degree from any recognized University of India as defined by UGC with at least 45% marks (40% in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST category) and having passed 10+2 exam with Mathematics as a subject.

• For admission to first year: Candidates must have passed the Intermediate examination of U.P. Board or 10+2 level examination or its equivalent with at least 45% marks (40% for SC/ST) in the aggregate with the subject combination as follows:-

Compulsory Subjects: Physics and Mathematics

Optional Subjects (Any one of the following Subjects) – Chemistry/ Bio-Technology/ Biology/ Technical Vocational subject.

• For admission to second year (Lateral Entry): Candidates must have passed a Diploma in Engineering /Technology course of 3 years’ duration from the State Board of Technical Education or its equivalent with at least 45% marks (40% for SC/ST) in the aggregate in any branch of engineering (except Agriculture, Pharmacy & Architecture).
