i did not prepar for jee till now what topics in which i can score easily

Kaiser Souza 8th Nov, 2019
Hi aspirant,

JEE Mains entrance exam for all students wanting to do engineering and its variants. There are 3 subjects in the exams that are Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. Each section has 120 marks giving a total of 360.

For Physics,
It is important you have your 11th grade concepts clear which include motion and also the dimentional analysis. Keeping your foundation strong is key. Also have more concerntration towards solving sums. Referring various books such as S.Chand and R.D.Sharma will be very helpful. Another topic which have good weight is simple harmonic motion and its variants. As for 12th physics have a good grasp over modern physics which includes atoms and nuclei and many more.

For Chemistry,
It is important to be thorough with organic chemistry which includes the various methods of formation of compounds. Chapters such as surface chemistry, chemical bonding and also s,p,d,f block have been known to have reoccuring questions over the years.

For Mathematics,
It is dire that you have a good grasp to calculus. Time and time again, differential and integration is a key element asked in these exams. Also knowing vectors and 3D Geometry will be of good help. Another topic to keep in mind is statistics and probability.

Thank you and all the best!!!

I have not started preparing for cet till now now I m in 11th std so what important topics of 11th are there i can study now to cover 11th part of cet

Mayank Chowdhary 17th Dec, 2019

See 12th is so much connected with 11th topics. There are many such topics in 12th that will require the basics that have been covered in 11th without which you'll be unable to master the topics. Okk don't worry, I'm not telling you to sit and study complete 11th std right now, what's gone is already gone, let's focus on what's left now. Whenever you study topics like Halogen Derivatives in 12th chemistry, you'll require some basics covered in Basic principles and techniques in chemistry and aromatic compounds of 11th, that time you can just go and read the related concepts only once. For some other important topics of 11th that you need to study, I'll recommend you to finish Ray Optics, Refraction of Light, Motion, Magnetic Effects of electric current, Current electricity of Physics, States of Matter, Redox Reaction, Periodic Table, Nature of Chemical Bonds in chemistry, Probability, Permutations and Combinations in Mathematics.

Best wishes. Thankyoh.
