Sir, I have secured 497 with AIR-213769 in Neet2024. can I get BDS govt seat in private college in karnataka, Ap and Telangna

kumardurgesh1802 29th Oct, 2024

Hello there,

With a NEET score of 497 and an All India Rank of 213,769 , your chances of securing a BDS seat in government or private dental colleges in Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, and Telangana are as follows:

Karnataka:

  1. Private Dental Colleges : You may have a chance at certain private dental colleges. Institutions like Dayananda Sagar College of Dental Sciences or Bangalore Institute of Dental Sciences might have available seats, but it depends on the specific cutoff for the year.

  2. Government Dental Colleges : Admission to government BDS seats in Karnataka is competitive, and your chances are low for a government seat with the current score.

    Andhra Pradesh:

  3. Private Dental Colleges : In AP, colleges like NTR University of Health Sciences or GSL Dental College could be options, but you should check the latest cutoff trends.

  4. Government Colleges : Admission is typically more challenging for government seats with your rank.

    Telangana:

  5. Private Dental Colleges : Similar to the other states, private institutions like NTR Institute of Dental Sciences may offer BDS seats, but competition can be high.

  6. Government Colleges : Government colleges are usually difficult to access with your current rank.

    Recommendation:

  • Participate in Counselling : Ensure you register for the counselling processes in all three states.

  • Check Cutoff Trends : Stay updated on the latest cutoffs for the colleges you're interested in, as these can vary yearly.

    Conclusion:

Your best chances will likely be in private dental colleges across Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, and Telangana. Be proactive in your applications and counselling registrations.

im getting 263 marks in neet can i get bds college whose is valuable everywhere ?

kumardurgesh1802 31st Oct, 2024

Hello there,

With a NEET score of 263, securing a BDS seat in a government college is challenging, especially for general category students, as cutoffs are usually higher. However, you may have a chance in:

  1. Private Dental Colleges : Many private institutions have lower cutoffs and offer BDS seats at this score.

  2. Reserved Categories : If you belong to a reserved category, you might have a shot in some state government dental colleges.

Participate in counseling sessions for both state and private colleges to explore available options.

my rank is 390642 in neet what are the chance of getting into government mbbs/bds college from up obc/ muslim minority category

kumardurgesh1802 31st Oct, 2024

Hello there,

With a NEET rank of 390,642 in the OBC category, securing a government MBBS or BDS seat in Uttar Pradesh is highly unlikely. The closing ranks for government medical colleges are typically much lower, with the cutoff for MBBS seats under the OBC category often around 150,000.

Alternative Options:

  1. Private Medical Colleges : Consider private medical colleges in UP or other states, where the cutoff ranks are generally higher.

  2. Other Courses : Explore allied health sciences or paramedical courses, which may have higher cutoff ranks and offer promising career opportunities.

  3. Reattempt NEET : Improving your NEET score through dedicated preparation can enhance your chances in subsequent years.

It's advisable to participate in counseling sessions to explore available options and make informed decisions.

fees for bds? is this private college?

Nikita shahi 23rd Aug, 2025

Hello,

Yes, BDS courses in most colleges, are run by private/self-financed institutions (except for government dental colleges). The fees for private BDS colleges usually range between 2.5 lakh to 4 lakh per year. In addition to tuition fees, you’ll also have hostel charges, examination fees, and miscellaneous charges.

Best wishes!

My general rank is 88000, and EWS Rank is 12000, do I have a chance of getting government college for MBBS or BDS? I belong to Uttar Pradesh hence I will opt for both State and All India Counseling.

kumardurgesh1802 12th Nov, 2024

Hello there,

With a general rank of 88,000 and an EWS rank of 12,000 in NEET 2024 , the likelihood of securing a government seat for MBBS or BDS depends on several factors, including state quota , all-India quota , and category-specific cutoffs . Here's a breakdown of your chances:

1. All India Counseling (AIQ):

  • EWS Category : Given that your EWS rank is 12,000, there might be a possibility of getting a government medical college for MBBS or BDS under the All India Quota , especially if you apply to colleges with relatively lower cutoffs. However, AIQ cutoffs for MBBS typically range in the 20,000-50,000 range for general categories, and BDS may have slightly higher chances. Your EWS rank will help you secure seats in this category.

  • You should apply to both top-tier and mid-tier government colleges to improve your chances.

    2. Uttar Pradesh State Counseling (UP):

  • State Quota : In Uttar Pradesh, the cutoffs for government MBBS seats for EWS candidates typically vary each year based on factors like the number of applicants, seat availability, and state-specific reservation policies. With an EWS rank of 12,000 , you may have a good chance of securing a government MBBS seat in UP depending on the year's cutoff trends.

  • BDS Seats : Similarly, for BDS courses, your chances could be higher in private colleges under management quota if the cutoff is too high for MBBS.

    Key Recommendations:

  • Stay updated with the official counseling process for both All India and UP state counseling.

  • Participate in both AIQ and state counseling to maximize your chances of admission.

  • You may also explore private colleges for MBBS/BDS if you are open to paying higher fees.

Keep an eye on official announcements regarding the cutoff trends for the year 2024 as these can fluctuate based on demand, number of seats, and category-specific changes.

Kya without NEET exam ke BDS me admission mil sakta hai?

kumardurgesh1802 12th Nov, 2024

Hello Bhanu,

No, you cannot get admission to BDS (Bachelor of Dental Surgery) without appearing for the NEET exam . As per the current guidelines of the Medical Council of India (MCI) and Dental Council of India (DCI) , NEET is mandatory for admission to BDS courses in all government and private dental colleges across India. This rule applies to both All India Quota and State Quota seats.

Previously, some states and private colleges allowed admission to BDS without NEET, but now all dental colleges require NEET scores to admit students to BDS. You must take the NEET exam and secure a valid score to be eligible for admission to any BDS course.

If you're interested in pursuing BDS , your first step will be to appear for NEET and then participate in the counseling process.

I am sc category girl score 333 uttar pardesh domecile rank 529926 2024 I want govt college courses can BSC nursing mbbs or bds in India

Shambhavi shambhavi 30th Dec, 2024

With a score of 333 and Uttar Pradesh domicile, your chances of getting a seat in a government college depend on factors such as the cutoff for the year, category, and specific course. Since you're from the SC category, you may have a better chance of securing a seat in government colleges with reserved quotas, but it will depend on the rank and cutoff for each course.

I am sc category girl score 333 and I have uttar pradesh domecile.all india rank is 529926 2024 I want govt college any were in India course BDS or mbbs and bsc nursing can I get it can you provide me all college I can gei in councelling. pls help me others wise I have to dei

Nikita shahi 23rd Aug, 2025

Hello,

With 333 marks (SC category), MBBS in a government college is nearly impossible since SC cut-off also goes above 450+ marks in most states. For BDS in government colleges, the cut-off usually stays above 370–400 marks for SC, so again it looks difficult. However, you do have chances in private BDS colleges under the SC quota, where cut-offs are lower. For B.Sc Nursing, the cut-off is more flexible, and you may get a seat in some government colleges since nursing cut-offs are not as high as MBBS/BDS.
