Tanya Gupta 20th Feb, 2024

Hello,

Yes, if you are giving the 12th board examination with the science stream and meet all other eligibility criteria set by the conducting authority, you should be eligible to appear for JEE Advanced 2025 examination. It does not matter that if you have done 12th in commerce stream before as long as you complete eligibility criteria.

Hope this helps you,

Hello aspirant,

Hope you are doing great.

So coming to your question, YES, you are completely eligible to give the BITSAT exam. Recently the government has approved that open schooling is equal to regular schooling and students who have passed through open schooling are completely eligible for the entrance exams such as BITS, JEE Mains etc.

can i change my board in 10th . ? I switched to IB board in 9th but somehow cudnt understand their criteria so want to switch board in 10th again to CBSE. is it possible?

Sree 2nd Feb, 2024

It's possible to switch from IB to CBSE in 10th grade, but there are some factors to consider:

Feasibility:

  • School availability: Not all schools offer both IB and CBSE programs. You'll need to find a CBSE school willing to accept you mid-year and assess your existing 9th-grade IB learning to determine if you can join their 10th grade.
  • Academic alignment: The CBSE and IB curriculums differ significantly. Moving back to CBSE might require catching up on certain topics or adjusting to a different teaching style.
  • Admission process: Each school has its own admission process and deadlines. You'll need to inquire about their specific requirements and procedures.
