If I fail 12th hsc science in maharashtra can I go back to 11th commerce If it is possible and pen id is updated wont the board form system once I am in 12th flag that I gave boards before? Pls answer I need help

Ishita 27th Nov, 2025

yes, if you fail 12th HSC science in Maharashtra, you can go back and take admission again in 11th commerce, because the stream change is allowed when you take fresh admission.. ur previous 12th board attempt will not block ur admission, bcoz the board only keeps a record of earlier attempts but it does not prevent you from restarting Class 11 in another stream..

I failed my 12th hsc science in maharashtra is it possible for me to go back to 11th commerce hsc in maharashtra

Rahul Mandal 27th Nov, 2025

Hello,

Sorry, but you can't go back to 11th Commerce HSC directly after failing 12th Science. You can, however re-enroll in the 12th standard, either by reappearing for the 12th Science exam as a private candidate to clear the failed subjects, or by enrolling in an open schooling system like NIOS and transferring the passed subjects' credits.

I hope it will clear your query!!

if i have 2 marksheets cbse and NIOS maths marksheet and commerce stream without maths am i eligible for commerce courses where maths is mandatory and can I give any competitive exams that requires maths if i have 2 marksheets and does universites accept 2 marksheets from different boards pls tell

SEJAL JAIN 4th Nov, 2025

Hello

If you have two mark sheets, one from CBSE with Maths and another from NIOS Commerce without Maths, your eligibility depends on the rules of each college or exam.
Some colleges accept a separate Maths marksheet if it’s from a recognised board.
Others want Maths to be part of your main subjects in the same marksheet.
So, it’s different for every place.
For courses like B.Com (Hons) or Economics (Hons), Maths is usually mandatory.
If your CBSE Maths marksheet is valid, it can help you qualify.
Still, always check the official eligibility rules before applying anywhere.
