Hey!

To know which course you are interested in, you will first have to look at the course- it's subjects, scope and Career prospects to form a better judgement of whether to pursue a particular course or not.

If you belong from science stream and from PCM, few of the career options are as follows:-

  • Engineering is a discipline that offers a wide range of career options. Gone are the days when science stream employment prospects were limited to only a few main engineering fields. After completing a 12th science PCM in engineering degree, there are several employment opportunities available nowadays.
  • Architecture now encompasses not just the design and construction of houses and structures, but also any other subject of design. It is one of the finest job alternatives following 12th grade science, and students will need both technical and creative abilities to pursue it. It's an excellent career choice for 12th-grade scientific PCM students who enjoy tackling a wide range of issues and applying creative and methodical problem-solving to arrive at a creative and practical solution.
  • After 12th grade, there are a variety of employment opportunities. PCM provides a noble purpose vocation in which service to others comes before self-interest. The Indian Army, Indian Air Force, Indian Navy, and Indian Coast Guard are examples of some of the top job prospects after 12th science in our country. If you want to experience difficulties, thrills, and adventure rides in the future, there is no better place to go.
  • If you want to pick among job possibilities after 12th science PCM that allow you to travel to new locations while also earning a lot of money, merchant navy is one of the greatest options. The merchant navy aids in the transportation of products between countries. It is one of the most profitable employment opportunities for students in the science field.

mrinalini048 1st Feb, 2022

Hey!

Whether Pharm.D is best course or not depends on eventually what you are aiming for. If it is something you are interested in and would like to pursue, you should know some details about the course. I have mentioned some details about the course in brief.

The Government of India and the Pharmacy Council of India launched the Doctor of Pharmacy, or Pharm.D, as a six-year professional pre-Ph.D. postgraduate doctorate in 2008. The Doctor of Pharmacy was developed with the goal of improving clinical pharmacy services in India since it is the only pharmacy service that has direct interaction with the patient health care system. Students enrolling in the programme must finish a five-year classroom and hospital-based didactic study programme, followed by a one-year internship training programme in hospitals, which includes continuous practicals and research projects. Pharm.D. is a postgraduate degree, and students who complete the course can immediately enrol in a P.hD programme.

Scope-

The area of pharmacy offers a wide range of career opportunities. Students can pursue a P.hD. programme after finishing the Pharm D. programme. For Pharm D. candidates, there is a lot of opportunity to work in pharmaceuticals overseas. They must collaborate with doctors and pharmacists, which instils in them a feeling of accountability for pharmaceutical treatment management. One can work in the following sectors as a Pharm D. graduate:

Oncology: Cancer patients rely on a variety of medications to help them battle their illnesses. Professionals in this field are in high demand to aid medical doctors and counsel cancer patients since cancer treatment is one of the most complicated and ever-changing fields in the pharmaceutical business. They may also be necessary to assist in the monitoring of patients who are undergoing treatment.

Nuclear Pharmacy: Nuclear pharmacy would be that category of pharmacy that is connected to radioactive drugs. These medications are utilised in procedures such as PET scans and therapy processes for disorders such as cancer. Nuclear pharmacists have the expertise and abilities to appropriately monitor and administer these medications.

Mental Pharmacy: Pharmacists who specialise in psychiatric medications investigate how these drugs interact with other medications and assist medical professionals in prescribing these medications by assisting them in identifying the situations in which the drugs will be effective and useful. They are trained in the specialty of psychiatric drug side effects and treatment plans, as well as the costs of these prescriptions and how to save money on them.

Pediatric Pharmacy: Those who desire to concentrate in paediatric pharmacy must have particular understanding of medications for children under the age of 18 years old. They must learn how to alter a medication quantity for a child and which pharmaceuticals are safe for youngsters to use. These experts also work with families to educate them on health and wellness issues that affect children.

Career Opportunity:-

Candidates who complete their Doctor of Pharmacy studies are offered a number of work opportunities based on their job interests and skills. They aid pharmacists in their everyday activities by assisting them in the creation of prescriptions, assisting with issue solving, and assisting with the pharmacy's daily operations and ongoing initiatives.
