Hi surabhi,
Jipmer was held on 2 June. It was a online test. And it's answer will not be available so soon by institutes because they to did not have the proper question paper. That's why it will take some time to be released by institutes.
It will be better for you to wait for the official answer key which will be released before 15 June on the official site of the jipmer.
Jipmer result will be announced before or on 21 June after then counselling will start. For any other information you can ask us.
Hello Jhulan
Cutoff rank for JIPMER 2017 was 600
There is no use pondering on the score because top 1048 had scored above 99 percentile out of them top 600 were called for counselling .
Jipmer is not an easy college to enter into. Since the total number of seats for Jipmer is 200 (150 at Pondicherry and 50 at Karaikal) and there are a lot of aspirants all over the country, the cut off is extremely high and has a narrow range. Only about the first 500 students are called for counselling, and all of them have a percentile of more than 99.98.
First of all, there is no minimum marks to be secured to enter JIPMER, it is purely based on the merit. You've to top the list to enter into JIPMER. It is also based on the category and the domicile(state) you belong to. For Puducherrry UT students, the cutoff is far lesser than all India quota.
Counselling ratio is 1:10 (ie for 1 seat, they will call 10 students)
As per previous years,
For OBC seat intake is 38 seats and the rank range is 1-380. The OBC cut off is 98.87.
This is the cutoff who are called for counselling. Since admitted list is not available now, we can't say about the minimum marks that got admitted there.
Hope this helps.
Hey Shamimah ,
The cutoffs for JIPMER entrance exam are in the form of percentile. You can easily calculate your percentile when your rank is given.
Your percentile = (your rank / total no. Of students appeared for exam )×100
And the minimum percentile for qualifying JIPMER Entrance exam is 50th percentile for UR ,OCI and NRI students ,45th percentile for UR PH students and 40th percentile for other categories.
You can also check JIPMER cutoffs for 2019 and the recent past years by following the given link :

And as you are asking maximum rank , then maximum rank that any student can get is 1.
Hope it helps!
Dear Maran,
The cut off marks for clearing JIPMER entrance exam is 40 percentile for SC students. But if u really want to get into jipmer you need to be among the top 14 students of SC category.
First of all jipmer seats are very less...200 only and there is only 2 colleges 150 and 50 seats. Also there is special reservation for puducherry students. So you have to be amongst the toppers for getting into jipmer but as far as qualifying jipmer is concerned 40 percentile is the cut off always.
The cut off marks varies depending upon the students performance each year. All the best for your jipmer results!!
