Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education & Research MBBS Entrance Exam
Hello,
First of all the jipmer admission doesn't depends on the score. It depends on rank. The top rank list of students can enter into it. The cutoff is around 99.55 for general category, 98 for OBC, 92 for SC and 83 for ST.
It allocates 65 seats for general category so top 65 ranks should get admission.
All the best!
hello Shamimah,
Aspirants of JIPMER need to secure the minimum required percentile i.e. JIPMER 2019 Cut off in order to qualify the medical entrance exam.
For General category Minimum Percentile required is 50th Percentile.
The opening JIPMER rank for UR category in the previous year for Puducherry campus was 1 and for Karaikal campus, it was 190.
Hi Kaleeswari
Percentile is the indicator of the number of students you have perform better than in an exam.
It tells you how many students are ahead of you in an examination and how many students have performed worse than you in that exam.
So you see marks cannot be calculated from the percentile.
You'll have to know your marks from another source.
Hope it helps.
Hi surabhi,
Yes jipmer puts its official answer on its official site. Stay updated. Till then you can also check other sites answer key for confirmation but don't be too much sure with their answers until official answer key will not be released.
Jipmer 2019 results will be out before or on 21st June. By 15 June you can get its official answer key. And first counselling will be held by 27 June to 3july most probably. For further queries feel free to ask us.
Thanku
Hi raj,
You are scoring good in jipmer 2019.But your score will not be counted it is your rank in the all India rank in jipmer that decide whether you will get it or not .And that rank is counted by converting your marks into percentile form.
The percentile method depends on the highest mark secured by the topper and then on your marks. It will be calculated by your marks divided by topper's marks and multiply by 100.
Last year opening percentile for getting mbbs in jipmer for obc was 98.8754756
So you should wait for the result which will be announced before or on 21 June. Hope for the best. For any other query feel free to ask us.
Hey Surabhi,
This year the qualifying marks for EWS and unreserved category for JIIPMER has been reduced to 50% as compared to that of 60% last year. While for SC/ST/OBC/PwD the cut off for qualifying examination is 45% this year. And while for unreserved PwD it's 40%. All the best!!
Hi Hardik,
You have scored well in jipmer. But your chance of getting a seat in pondicheery jipmer college will depend on your rank based on your percentile scored.
The percentile of your marks is calculated by dividing your marks by topper's marks and then multiplying it with 100.
Last year the opening percentile for getting mbbs seat in jipmer for general category was 99.5535249
Wait for the results to be announced. It will be announced before or on 21 June stay updated. For any other query ask us.
Dear Aspirant
Only 74 seats (JIPMER Puducherry 55, JIPMER Karaikal 19) for UR candidates are reserved which means only 74 students will get admission in either of the colleges. And according to the notice of shortlisted UR students 2019, the student ranking between 1-750 are eligible for 1st round of counselling which doesn't guarantees a seat.
In 2018, the opening and closing rank for UR was 1 and 56 for Puducherry, 190 and 978 for Karaikal.
Concluding the information and following the 2018's pattern(can be changed this year), there are nil chances for you to get admission in Puducherry but can get Karaikal with expected rank 500.
Note: Merit list changes every year and only on that basis the admission will be done.
Good luck fot the 1st round.
Hello Paritosh,
The MD/MS list for EWS Category is not yet displayed on the official site. You need to wait and stay update.
BEST WISHES!
Hi Harish,
Yes, I believe in certain countries there is no age limit for medical entrances such as United States. You can give the MCAT exam in the US at any age, and join MBBS.
As per JIPMER, there is no upper age limit you can appear for them any time.
However for AIIMS upper age limit is 35 years.
Here is a link if you are interested in doing your college from overseas (USA):
https://students-residents.aamc.org/applying-medical-school/article/applying-international-applicant/
If you are interested in doing MBBS from Russia, then unfortunately you are not eligible to sit for NEET examination..and that score is used to get admission at Russian medical colleges. You are still eligible to give JIPMER! Study hard, it's never too late for anything !:)
Hope this helps! Good luck! All the best !
