Self study plan without coaching for neet/aiims/jipmer

raj22200 Student Expert 19th Jul, 2019

Hello Farheen !!

It is very important to make a schedule which you have to follow in order to get a MBBS seat.

If you are planning to self study it surely means that you will be spending most of the time in house. I will advice you to go for walks or play something so that you don't get depressed, homesick or bored.

Now coming to the preparation part , since you will not avail any coaching you will not be having their material . Therefore you need to refer some books . NCERT should be well understood and on fingertips .

Remember there is no fixed time for study , whenever you feel like dig into it . Don't force yourself to books . Mediation can help in these situations.

After this go for some higher books like GRB for chemistry , DC Panedey or HC Verma for physics , Trueman or Dinesh for Biology .

It is also important to solve a lot of questions for which the All in One series is a good one .

Also if possible get yourself registered to some online platform where you can solve mock test papers .

Following all this for a year is not easy , you need to be determined and hard working. Spend some time alone thinking about yourself and what to do next .

All the best.

Hope this helps .

I have got 3200 rank in jipmer with OBC category Rank 800 , can I get any mbbs seat in jipmer ?

Prasun 16th Jul, 2019

Dear candidate,

I am sorry to inform you that according to me you have no chance of getting a seat in jipmer.First of all there are only 200 seats out of which most are reserved for the puducherry candidates.

The rest seats have been divided according to reservations and obc category rank 800 don't stand a chance in around 100 general category seats.

ALL THE BEST FOR YOUR COUNSELLING!

The AIIMS and JIPMER Admission Merged in NEET Exam?

priyaankasarkar Student Expert 25th Aug, 2019
Dear Shabaj, there was a speculation that NMC would favour a Common Entrance Examination for all Medical Colleges across India. It was speculated that AIIMS and MBBS will conduct their admissions through NEET. But now NTA has released NEET 2020 dates and it doesnt mention any merger or conducting exam for AIIMS and JIPMER admissions as well. And AIIMS has also released its 2020 MBBS exam information. And NMC which has been scrapped off in favour of MCI will take atleast another 6 months to form as a body. Which means by then JIPMER notification also would be released by then for 2020. While we cannot speculate what's in store for 2021, atleast for 2020, there is no such merger on paper.

For clearing jipmer, General (UR)/EWS/ OCI/ NRI must have 50th percentile.
The cut off last year for the unreserved category was rank 1 to rank 156 in puducherry campus and rank 190 to rank 978 in Karaikal campus.
