STUTI SHALMON MAZGAONKAR Student Expert 10th Jul, 2019

Hello Ramsai,

You are eligible for JIPMER only if you are atleast 17. It depends on Category cut off of HSC, too. You should have Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology in the last two years of study and English as a core subject. If you belong to UR Category, then you need 50 Percentile & if you belong to reserved category, you need to have 40 Percentile each in 10+2.

If the above criteria is fulfilled then you are eligible for JIPMER.

Examining your NEET Rank, I think you could also make JIPMER!

Hello this is dharshini, is the jipmer fees for ug is too much? Like a middle class student like me cannot able to pay?

Joydeep Saha Student Expert 16th Aug, 2019
Hey Darshini !
The UG fees for pursuing MBBS from JIPMER isn't too less like that of the ones in the Medical Colleges of Delhi, but it's reasonable for a middle class person to pay for.
The first year fee generally amounts to a near about Rs. 12,000 and the subsequent year charges around Rs. 15,000. So, even if you consider on a total, the entire duration of MBBS can be done within 1 lakh tuition fees. The hostel Charges would be separate.

Hope this helps.

Good Luck !

Pinki kumari Student Expert 8th Jul, 2019

Hi kunal,

There are total 200 mbbs seats in two colleges of jipmer.

Jipmer conducts two rounds  of counselling to fill the seats in the medical colleges.

There are about 150 seats filled in the first round of counselling and then about 50 in the other round.

For any other information you can ask us.

shruti jha Student Expert 6th Jul, 2019

Hi,

Yes,  you can apply for both the jipmer as well as neet state quota counselling processes separately as both are way different from each pther as well as their conducting athourities.

So, ultimately yes you can register yourself for both the jipmer counselling as well the neet state quota counsellings.

Sir ,is any chance to get the jipmer in 2nd round as I secured 220 OBC rank .

Joydeep Saha Student Expert 6th Jul, 2019
Hey Amresh !
It's quite tough to say if your selection is confirmed or not even through Round 2.
As far as the data of 2018 is concerned, JIPMER Karaikal Campus had it's OBC Closing Rank to be around 240 but the same in 2017 stood at 115.
So, you can pretty well assess the vast magnitude of variation that is seen in Closing Ranks. You can even check these out through :

https://www.google.com/amp/s/medicine.careers360.com/articles/jipmer-cut-off/amp

Do go through the Counselling process as the students of North India often leave their seats in JIPMER which can increase your chances of getting the seat. Either way, it's a 50-50 situation friend.

Good Luck !
