If you passed 12th without Math's from Maharashtra Board and now plan to take Math's through NIOS ODE, DU will accept it only for courses where Math's is required, provided it’s a valid board exam result.
For courses like BCom (Hons) or BSc, Mathes in 12th is compulsory; for Arts or general B.A., it’s not needed.
So, you’ll be eligible if:
You clear the NIOS Math's exam before admission, and
The course you choose requires or accepts Math's from any recognized board.

As for national national level Maths Olympiad you will practise for IOQM (Indian Olympiad Qualifier in Mathematics ). This exam is conducted by Mathematics Teachers’ Association (India) [MTA(I)] in collaboration with HBCSE (under NBHM). the exam duration is 3 hours with total of 30 questions. Question asked is of type integer-type-answer (00 - 99). Total marks is 100
