I got 52% HSC out of that PCM (Physics, Chemistry, Maths) 41% but it will be 47% if add electronics instead of chemistry. And I got 93 percentile in MHT CET PCM. Am I eligible for Engineering? And shall I get good college base on MHT CET result? Please advice.

Ayush Madanpotra 19th Jun, 2025

Yes, you are eligible for engineering admission in Maharashtra. Here's how:

You got 52% overall in HSC, which meets the minimum requirement (45% for general and 40% for reserved categories).

Even though your PCM is 41%, in Maharashtra CET admissions, Electronics is often considered as an optional subject in place of Chemistry, especially if the course allows it. That gives you 47% in PCM with Electronics, which many colleges will accept.

Your 93 percentile in MHT CET (PCM group) is a strong score. With this percentile, you have a good chance of getting into decent engineering colleges in Maharashtra. You may get branches like IT, CSE, or E&TC in private colleges and possibly in a few government-aided ones too.

Colleges you may target include:
VIT Pune
PCCOE Pune
Sinhgad Institutes
Thakur College of Engineering, Mumbai
Ramrao Adik Institute, Navi Mumbai
KJ Somaiya (for some branches depending on cutoffs)

Final admission will depend on the CAP (Centralized Admission Process) rounds, your category (if any), and preferences filled.

Bipasha 18th Jun, 2025

Yes, you will be considered passed. In Karnataka 2nd PUC, the minimum passing marks are 35 out of 100 (combining theory and internal). Since you have 24 (theory) + 19 (internal) = 43 marks, and your result sheet shows "pass," your result is valid.

Which college accept BCA for PCB students without maths in 12

Samriddha Pal 17th Jun, 2025

Hello,

Numerous colleges throughout India permit admission to BCA for students from the PCB stream without Mathematics in Class 12, though regulations may differ by institution. Universities like Amity University, Christ University (Bangalore), Lovely Professional University (LPU), Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU), along with certain state universities and private colleges, enable non-Maths students to enroll in BCA—typically providing bridge courses in Mathematics or Computer Fundamentals during the first semester for students to bridge gaps. Nonetheless, certain esteemed institutions such as Delhi University or IP University might necessitate Mathematics or Computer Science as subjects in Class 12. Consequently, it's crucial to verify the eligibility requirements of every college separately. If you come from a PCB background and are enthusiastic about technology, seek colleges that offer academic assistance and flexibility to help you adapt seamlessly to the BCA program.

Hope this helps. All the best!
