In the C-23 curriculum, there are no subjects like RDBMS and OOPS through C . However, these subjects are included in the ECET 2026 syllabus. How can we prepare for these subjects?

SEJAL JAIN 24th Dec, 2025

Hello

In the C-23 curriculum, these subjects are not included, so it’s normal to feel confused. Even though RDBMS and OOPS through C are not taught, they are still part of the ECET 2026 syllabus because ECET tests overall computer fundamentals. You can prepare for them through self-study using simple notes, YouTube lectures, and ECET guidebooks. Start with basic concepts first, then practice the previous year's ECET questions. These topics are concept-oriented, so regular practice and revision are enough to score well. With focused study, you can easily manage them along with your regular subjects.

Hope it helps you

Can I get admission in b.tech(2nd year) after passing first year of b.voc in ymca Faridabad?

Ayshwarya Mahadevan 25th Dec, 2025

Yes, you can seek admission into B.Tech directly in the second year after completing your first year of BVoc at YMCA Faridabad, but it depends on fulfilling the eligibility criteria and the lateral entry rules of the engineering college you want to join. Lateral entry to the second year of B.Tech is usually allowed for students who have completed a diploma in engineering or equivalent technical programme from a recognised institution. A BVoc (Bachelor of Vocation) programme is an undergraduate degree, and while it does involve practical and vocational training, several universities or technical boards may not consider it equivalent to a formal diploma for lateral entry into B.Tech second year unless it specifically maps to an approved diploma curriculum in the same or related field.

To proceed, you will need to check with the technical education board or university that conducts admissions for the B.Tech course you want to join. Many states and institutes require a specific entrance test or counseling process for lateral entry seats, and they may ask for proof that your BVoc coursework covers enough engineering fundamentals that match the first year of B.Tech. If your BVoc has subjects closely related to the B.Tech discipline you are targeting and the concerned authorities recognise it as equivalent, then you may be able to get lateral entry. Otherwise, you might have to complete the full B.Tech from first year.

The best course of action is to contact the admissions office of the particular engineering college or the state technical admissions authority to confirm whether your BVoc will be accepted for lateral entry and to understand the application procedure and deadlines. They will guide you on how to prepare your documents and which entrance or eligibility criteria you need to meet for admission. All the best.

my air is 23880 and sc rank is 1228 . can i get hpnlu any chance?

Ayshwarya Mahadevan 25th Dec, 2025

With an All India Rank of 23,880 and an SC category rank of 1,228 in CLAT, you do have a possible chance for admission to Himachal Pradesh National Law University (HPNLU), especially in the SC category, but it will largely depend on the cutoff trends of the current admission year. In previous years, HPNLU’s SC category closing ranks have often gone beyond the general cutoffs, and seats have sometimes been allotted to candidates with ranks in a similar or slightly higher range during later counselling rounds.

However, admission is not guaranteed, as cutoffs vary every year based on factors such as the number of applicants, seat matrix, and category-wise demand. Your chances may improve in subsequent counselling rounds if seats remain vacant or if higher-ranked candidates opt for other NLUs. It is strongly advised that you participate in all counselling rounds, keep HPNLU high in your preference list if it is your target, and also consider other lower-ranked NLUs as backup options. Keeping realistic expectations while remaining flexible with preferences will improve your overall chances of securing an NLU seat.

my question is I want to study +2 higher secondary education from NIOS board, upon completion, will I be eligible for gnm government college or bsc government entrance exam,?

Ayshwarya Mahadevan 25th Dec, 2025

Yes, you can study +2 (Senior Secondary) from the NIOS board, and in most cases you will be eligible for GNM government colleges and BSc Nursing entrance exams, but only if you meet the specific subject and marks requirements set by the nursing authorities and the respective state or exam body.

NIOS is a recognized national board under the Government of India, and its Senior Secondary certificate is accepted by the Indian Nursing Council (INC), State Nursing Councils, and most government institutions. However, eligibility is not decided only by the board; it also depends on the subjects you choose and your performance.

For GNM (General Nursing and Midwifery) in government colleges, candidates must have passed 10+2 with Science subjects. Generally, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology are required, along with English. Some states also allow candidates from Arts stream for GNM, but many government colleges now strictly prefer or require Biology. The minimum marks requirement is usually 40–45% aggregate, and age criteria (often 17 to 35 years) must also be fulfilled. If you complete your +2 from NIOS with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English, you should be eligible to apply for GNM government colleges, subject to state rules.

For BSc Nursing, the requirements are stricter. You must pass 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English as core subjects from a recognized board like NIOS. Most government BSc Nursing entrance exams require at least 45–50% aggregate marks in PCB (40–45% for reserved categories, depending on the state). You must also qualify the respective state-level or national entrance exam (such as state nursing entrances or exams aligned with INC norms). If you do not have Biology in +2, you will not be eligible for BSc Nursing.

One important point is that while NIOS is accepted, some state government colleges may have additional conditions, such as requiring subjects to be passed in the same year or practical components in PCB. Therefore, before enrolling in NIOS, it is strongly recommended to check the official admission brochure of your state’s nursing entrance exam or State Nursing Council to confirm exact eligibility.

In summary, completing +2 from NIOS does not disqualify you. If you choose the Science stream with PCB and English and meet the minimum marks and age criteria, you can apply for GNM government colleges and BSc Nursing entrance exams. Proper subject selection and early verification with state authorities will ensure you do not face issues during admission.
