You have mentioned VITEEE in your tag. I think you are asking about VITEEE total appearing candidates. The total appearing candidates in VITEEE is 4 lakhs. Your rank among 4 lakh candidates will decide your fees. The better your rank is, the lesser fees you will pay for your B.Tech course.

If you are talking about jee mains then on an average around 13 lakhs candidate fill the form for jee mains every year and only 2.5 lakh people get selected for jee advance every year.
