Sir, I passed 12th in 2021 , due to some reason I was not able to give exam of jee main in 2021 . Now I m giving exam in 2022 of jee main and also jee advance if I couldn't qualify jee advance, will i get a chance in 2023?
Hello Aspirant,
See JEE-Advance 2022 is going to be your last attempt because you have passed class 12th in 2021 and even if you did not appear for 2021attempt then also it will be counted and deducted from your total attempts so if you can't clear JEE-Advance 2022 then you cannot appear for 2023 attempt but for JEE-Main you can appear till 2023.
This is because maximum attempts allowed for JEE-Advance is 2 in 2 consecutive years, first attempt in the passing year of class 12th or equivalent examination and second attempt in very next year to that. Similarly for JEE-Main maximum attempts allowed for JEE-Main is 3 in 3 consecutive years, first attempt in the passing year of class 12th or equivalent examination and second attempt in very next year to that followed by third attempt in third year.
