Yes, you can fill the CAT form even if your second-year results are not out yet.

Most MBA programs require a graduation degree with a minimum percentage. While you may not have your final percentage, you can proceed with the application based on your first-year marks and expected performance.

Generally, the eligibility criteria for the CAT exam are quite straightforward:

  • Graduation: Candidates must hold a Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in any discipline from a recognized university or institute.
  • Appearing Candidates: Those in their final year of graduation can also apply.

Since you are in the final year of your graduation, you can appear for CAT

The ideal time to start preparing for CAT is now, you will get plenty of time but concerning your course, here's a suggestion

  • Second Year: Focus on building fundamentals in Quantitative Aptitude, Verbal Ability, and Logical Reasoning. Develop consistent study habits and start practicing basic questions and puzzles.
  • Summer Break: Join a coaching institute (if desired) or start self-study with structured materials. Increase the intensity of your preparation and keep taking mock tests regularly.

Hope this helps

Hello Aspirant

A rank of 17440 in CUSAT CAT might not be high enough for the most popular courses or categories. However, it's essential to consider the following factors:

  • Your Category: If you belong to a reserved category (SC/ST/OBC), your chances of securing admission improve significantly due to the reservation system.
  • Choice of Course: Some courses might have lower cutoffs than others.
  • Previous Year Cutoffs: Analyzing previous year cutoffs can give you a better idea of your chances.

Because you belong to the OEC category, you might have a shot at a decent college, but you need to mention the college that you wish to get admitted to so that we can see their eligibility and admission procedure

Hope this helps

Hello Aspirant

The eligibility criteria for appearing for the CAT exam is that the candidate must have completed their graduation with an aggregate of 50% (this is for General students, for SC/ST students, it is 45%). The minimum age should be 20 years.

However, candidates who are in the final year of their bachelor's can appear for CAT regardless of their percentage or backlogs. This is, keeping in mind, that you should not be so behind the eligibility that even if you clear CAT you won't be able to get admitted to an MBA college.

Hope this helps

In top IIMS 10th ,12th marks considered and have weightage in final selection your total marks is taken for the admission. It gives a huge advantage to the students who performed well in the exams. 12th marks is really important in old IIMS like AHMEDABAD, BANGALORE,FMS,LUCKNOW, INDORE. They have weightage of these marks for admission.

don't worry if you don't get good marks as some IIMS like CALCUTTA and new IIMS give chance to students who dont have good academic record  and it just have few marks in selection criteria you need to focus on ECA or WORK EXPERIENCE to get your seat in final selection.
