About Cutoff at IIM Ahmedabad
Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad (IIMA) releases the IIM Ahmedabad cutoff for MBA admissions. The IIM Ahmedabad cutoff is used for shortlisting candidates. IIM Ahmedabad cutoff refers to the minimum marks to be scored by the candidates in CAT to get shortlisted for selection rounds. IIM Ahmedabad Selection Process
IIM Ahmedabad begins the selection process for admission to PGP and PGP-FABM soon after shortlisting the students. Shortlisted students then appear for the two-step process of IIM Ahmedabad.
In the first step, candidates are shortlisted on the basis of cutoff, and in the second step, candidates will appear for Analytical Writing Test (AWT) and Personal Interview (PI) rounds.
The candidate’s overall score is calculated on the basis of the candidate’s profile, performance in selection rounds, and academic records. The formula used to calculate the final composite score (FCS) is:
FCS = PIF * Normalised PI Score + AWTF * Normalised AWT Score + CATF_FCS * Normalised CAT Score + ARF_FCS * AR
Personal Interview Multiplication Factor (PIF) = 0.50
AWT Multiplication Factor (AWTF) = 0.10
CAT Score Multiplication Factor for Final Composite Score (CATF_FCS) = 0.25
Application Rating Multiplication Factor for Final Composite Score (ARF_FCS) = 0.15

As per the IIMA MBA eligibility criteria, candidates should have a B.Sc, B.Tec, BA, or BA (Hons) degree with at least 50 per cent marks or equivalent CGPA. IIMA eligibility criteria for the reserved category is at least 45 per cent marks in graduation.
For getting admission into IIMs or top MBA colleges in India, the CAT cut off will be a minimum of 90 percentile. CAT cut offs remain as high as 99+ percentile for top IIMs such as IIM Ahmedabad, IIM Bangalore, IIM Calcutta, IIM Lucknow and IIM Kozhikode.
