Hello aspirant,
There is now no drawback to delaying your year to focus on CAT preparation. The only issue is that if you mention only CAT preparation when asked what you actually accomplished in this year during the interview, it could give the interviewer a very unfavourable impression of you from the outset. This is because 99% of applicants to any IIM have completed the preparation either during their final year of undergraduate study or while working for a company.
So you can definitely fill cat form after 1 year gap, but you need to have decent reason for that.
Thank you
Hope this information helps you.
Hii There,
The eligibility criteria for CAT typically include the following:
Educational Qualification: CAT applicants must hold a Bachelor's degree from a recognized university or institution, regardless of their field of study. The required minimum aggregate score typically falls in the range of 50% to 55% for general category candidates. However, these criteria may change from year to year and among different institutions. Therefore, it is recommended that candidates consult the official CAT website or the websites of participating management institutes for the most current eligibility details.
Age Limit: The CAT exam does not impose any specific age restrictions, making candidates of all age groups eligible to apply.
Nationality: CAT is open to both Indian citizens and foreign nationals. Non-resident Indians (NRIs) and foreign applicants may have additional eligibility conditions, such as providing GMAT scores, depending on the specific management institutes they are interested in.
Number of Attempts: There are no restrictions on the number of times a candidate can take the CAT exam.
Thanks
Hello aspirant,
It is recognised as job experience for admission if you can provide correct pay stubs for the time you worked. Even if you don't have any pay stubs, a letter on the business' letterhead outlining your duties and work there ought to suffice as evidence of prior employment.
