Hello,
Once you have applied in the general category doesn't mean the portal autocorrects itself. Mistakes might happen. So kindly check on the portal ugcnet.nta.ac.in (https://ugcnet.nta.ac.in/) whether the correction window is still active to make changes. If it's open, do edit your form by changing your EWS category to general.
This change also comes with the charging of an extra fee because of the category replacement. After this, you can apply for professor jobs without any further discrepancies, only if the correction window is open.
If it's closed, the category cannot be changed after the final handover. Even after the form continues to show EWS, you are expected to show the Valid EWS certificate for the certificate verification. If you fail to submit your form will be considered ineligible.
So the practical solution for this, apply for the EWS certificate as soon as possible; some institutions still accept it if it was issued after the exam date. Just make sure to keep up before document verification and counselling.
Hope this answered your query.
If you got 802 marks in Telangana Intermediate and belong to the ST category, you have a fair chance to get admission in a BPT course in 2025, but it depends on the college and cut-off. Most BPT colleges in Telangana ask for 12th marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology, and some also use the TS EAMCET rank for admission. The cut-off for ST students is usually lower than for general students, but it changes every year. It is better to check the previous year’s cut-offs of the colleges you want to apply to.
Hello, no, this is not going to be a problem. CAT requires the name to match the 10th Marksheet, so the order on your Admit Card is correct even if your Government IDs follow a First name and Surname format. Verification officials only check whether the spelling and details refer to the same person, not the order of the name. As long as the components of your name, photo, and date of birth match, you will be allowed without any issues. Hope this helps!
