• Eligible candidates should enrol and appear for the JAM test.

• Secure the desired JAM score in the All India Rank List according to the cut-off.

• There are three rounds of admission.

  • First-round will be declared by the organising Institute and conducted in June. Each student is offered admission with the option.

  • The second round of admissions is conducted for the remaining vacant seats in July. 

  • The third round of admission is the final round for seats available.

• Candidates will be shortlisted for IIT Madras admissions based on the scores obtained in the entrance examination.

• Candidates seeking admission will have to apply through the official website of the university. 

• While filling out the application, candidates must attach all the necessary documents and pay the IIT Madras application fee. 

• Students must have secured valid marks in GATE.

• The cutoff and date of the interview will be released by the institute itself. 

• All M.Tech. Admission offers (through GATE) will be displayed on the Common Offer Acceptance Portal (COAP). Candidates must register at the COAP portal to view and accept their offers. 

• After the interviews and after the students have made their final choice, admission letters will be handed out to the final selected candidates.

IIT Madras MBA Admission Process

• Candidates willing to take the IIT Madras MBA course must Appear for the CAT
• After securing a valid CAT score, students need to appear for CAP and the counselling process.
• Shortlisting of candidates is done for IIT Madras admissions based on the students taking the CAT scores and the counselling process into consideration.

• Students seeking admission must apply by filling out the online application form available on the official website of the institute. 

• While filling out the application, applicants must upload all the required documents and pay the IIT Madras fee.

• Eligible candidates will be called for a written test followed by a round of interviews.

• However, if a candidate has an excellent academic record and meritorious scores in their previous examinations, the test requirement may be waived.

• Final selection will be made based on the performance of students in the interview.

Candidates who have appeared in the JEE Advanced Examination 2024, Can check the results in jeeadv.ac.in that will be released by IIT Madras on June 09, 2024. The result of JEE Advanced 2024 will be released in the form of a score card containing marks secured by candidates in both the JEE Advanced 2024 papers. The JEE Advanced exam result 2024 will consist of many details such as all India rank, qualifying status, cutoff marks and more. Candidates can check their examination scores and performance through the result of JEE Advanced 2024. Once the results are out candidates have to apply for the counselling process.

Steps to Download JEE Advanced Result 2024

• Visit jeeadv.ac.in.

• Click on the “IIT JEE Advanced Result Link”.

• Enter Advanced Roll Number, date of birth and phone number.

• Check the “I’m not robot” box.

• Click on the “Submit” button.

• JEE Advanced 2024 result will be displayed on the screen.

• Download the result and take a print out.

IIT Madras Counselling 2024

Once the JEE Advanced 2024 results are announced on June 09, 2024, then the candidates have to register for JoSAA Counselling which will commence from June 10, 2024. During the counselling registration, Candidates have to select the IIT Madras as the preferred institute to get into it.
