I am pursuing my B.Tech at IIT Bombay because of its unparalleled reputation and the quality of its faculty. The teaching is excellent, with professors who are leaders in their respective fields. The annual tuition fee for my B.Tech was approximately ₹2.1 Lakhs per year (excluding mess and hostel). Honestly, it is worth every penny. The quality of professors, the cutting-edge research facilities, and the unmatched peer group create an environment that justifies the cost. While the infrastructure in some older hostels is a bit dated, the placement opportunities and the 'IITB brand' provide a massive return on investment."

The campus at IIT Bombay is huge and got modern labs and classrooms. Libraries are full of books and online stuff, high speed internet everywhere. Labs have good equipments for research in computer science. Its nice but sometimes crowded. Hostel rooms are okay, not fancy but clean. Overall, infrastructure help a lot in PhD work.

PhD in CSE here is tough but good. Professors are smart and won many awards, they guide well on research. Courses are deep in topics like AI and algorithms. You get to work on big projects with funding. Stipend helps too. Sometimes workload is heavy, but you learn alot. Its best for who love research.

For PhD, no big placement drives like undergrads, but many go to research jobs in companies like Microsoft or Amazon. Some do postdoc abroad or become professors. Connections from guides help get good positions. Pay is high if you get industry role. Not everyone gets dream job easy though.

Fees are low, around 1-3 lakhs total, and you get stipend of 30-70k per month. It covers living and tuition, no need loans. If you get PMRF, even better with extra grant. Worth it if you want career in research or academics. Not for quick money, but long term value is great.

Life here is fun, lots of events and clubs. Campus is green with lakes, good for walks. Hostels have mess food thats decent, and canteens. Students from all over, make friends easy. Tech fests and sports keep busy. But Mumbai heat and rain can be issue. Overall, exciting place to live.

My college has all the necessary infrastructure, facilities and equipments from both academics and sports activities. It has Hostels for all the students from btech, mtech to phds so we don't have to look for the Pg outside the college.

I am persuing chemical Engineering in IIT BOMBAY. And the quality of teaching is good in chemical engineering. Profs here are highly qualified. And at the end of the 4th year with the help of projects under profs, getting a job gets way too easier.

As the college is IIT Bombay the placement over here is pretty good. Highest package was over 3 crores in CS department. And average salary offered in chemical engineering is 17-18 lpa which is the best in all IIT'S.

Upto 3 lacks per year and there is a wide range of scholarships in my college for the students who can't afford it. And for this price it's worth, besides academics you can learn a lot of extra curricular thing.

Life in IIT BOMBAY is awesome, there are many things that engages you with the college like sports, tech teams, academics, and all. You have a good exposure here and the environment is best for learning new things.

It is not hidden from anyone about IIT Bombay and its extraordinary infrastructure, the hostels, the departments, the convocation hall, the auditoriums, the playgrounds, the student activity centre, and what not, everything is just fab. Our campus has 24*7 WiFi. The Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (IITB) was ranked 118th in the 2025 QS World University Rankings.

Extraordinary academics Professors are among best researchers of India as well as world. Curriculum is very updates. We get to know about new research in our theory. We are expected to think about real life problems and there solutions and not to crumble books.

Placements are good as my course is not much placement oriented but still I have the option to get placed with a very good package If I were doing the same course from somewhere else I will not even have the option to get placed just after the college

Hostels here great to live in. The hostel experience is really memorable for any student. All hostels have 24*7 Wi-Fi access and connectivity. Hostel mess food is also far then that of the other college. Also, the hostels are quite safe and secure from the perspective of a girl students.

The Faculty here is great. All the professors are highly educated and skilled. They are very punctual when it comes to lectures or assignment submissions. The courses here a bit tough, but they are worth studying. Though one may feel that Curriculum is outdated. Passing percentage in IIT Bombay is more.

Placements are the best; we all want to be looked at. Placements here are great and have been experiencing largely unaffected growth in package. The highest package offered in the institute is 1.5 crore+, and the average goes up to INR 21 LPA, which is gate number. As far as chemical engineering is concerned, the average package goes around INR 18 to 19 LPA.
