The UIIT Shimla offers admissions to the courses at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Aspirants applying for UIIT admissions should meet the admission criteria and appear for the entrance examination conducted by the university. The UIIT admissions are offered based on the merits of the university’s entrance exam. Separate merit lists for Himachali candidates (passing 10+2 from schools within Himachal Pradesh) and all India candidates (open to all candidates) are prepared. 

The UIIT Shimla also offers B.Tech lateral entry admissions, for which students must meet the eligibility criteria as prescribed by the institute. A joint merit list will be drawn from the eligible candidates for UIT Shimla admissions.

• The institute conducts a common entrance test for admission to B.Tech at UIT Shimla.

UIT Shimla M.Tech Admission Procedure

• Candidates who meet the above eligibility criteria can apply for the courses.

• The admissions for the M.Tech programme is done based on the entrance exam conducted by the university along with the qualifying examination scores.

• Candidates will be shortlisted based on the merits of the entrance examination, and a separate merit list will be prepared for Himachal and All-India candidates.

• The shortlisted candidates can get the documents verified and pay the M.Tech admission fees.
