Best college for management students
The college has good infrastructure provide for all the different venues. From beautiful gardens, to a large library with books available online and offline, to academic blocks, hostels, and staff quarters, the infrastructure is good. With a larger intake every year, the college could try working on increasing the infrastructure in proportion.
Teaching quality is excellent with a curriculum that is updated with recent developments in the business world. The main focus is to make us business-ready for the real world. A wide variety of electives are offered to cover all fields.
The college has good brand value. It also has alumni in reputable companies, which has led to many companies being attracted for the placement process here. The college also offers resume workshops and interview preparations.
The infrastructure is well-maintained. All the classes have ACs, which is a must for summers in Kerala. The classrooms are well-maintained, with facilities to accommodate PwD students as well. The Library building is very spacious, with discussion rooms and separate spaces to lounge and read. The hostels are also well-maintained, though the single rooms have no ACs and attached bathrooms.
The professors are good and most of them follow a case-based approach in class. There is a lot to prepare before coming to class, but that only enhances the classroom experience and class participation if you come prepared. There'll be a lot of random group formation and projects, which will prepare you to work in diverse teams and handle pressure.
This year, the summer placements were not that good due to poor market conditions. Hopefully, the situation will get better soon. I believe everyone were placed in good companies for the final placements
This depends on the final placements, if you compare all the fee you paid versus the package you receive in final placements, so I'm not fully equipped to review this atm.
There are a lot of festivals and student-organised activities run by clubs and committees. This prepares you to organise large-scale events, from funding to D-Day. Different cultural events, tournaments, etc. take place, and all these help the community grow a little closer and stronger.
Great infrastructure and beautifully maintained campus with lots of greenery. Good classrooms and library with a wide range of amazing collection of books. There is a restaurant and a cafe inside the campus.
Well experienced faculty with most case study based pedagogy. Classes are very interactive. Great learning experience with students from diverse backgrounds from all over India. Also, great collection of books in the library.
Placements are good. Seniors help the juniors with the placement preparation and all throughout the process. However, the process lacks transparency which could be improved. Companies from various domains come for the process.
Good value for money
Campus life is a mixture of everything. Everyday is a new adventure in IIM Kozhikode.
The campus is extremely well maintained. It has very good facilities. Libraries have all kinds of resources. Hostels and messes are well maintained and mostly air conditioned. Food is decent. There are good sports facilities also.
I am doing PGP. The course materials are provided by the college and it has very relatable contents. The professors over here are very well informed. The courses depend on the pedagogy of the professors. The campus mostly concentrates on training you to deal with stress, than teach you recent matters
The college tries to get their students placed. This particular year it has been tougher due to the economic condition prevalent. Placement season is a very stressful period and the smoothness of it depend on your peer group.
I generally feel IIM fees are too high. We are paying around 25 lakhs for the fees including hostel and mess. I feel the value added could be better. The infrastructure here is pretty amazing, so is the sports complex. That i would say is worthy of the fees.
The campus is one of the most gorgeous ones you would find. The staffs over here are very sweet and helpful. The location is not very far from the town and almost everything is easily accessible. The campus feels like a resort.
The institute has excellent infrastructure and facilities regarding hostels, classrooms, library and other amenities including gymnasium, swimming pool, unisex salons, cafes and restaurants. The amazing nature and climate around the institute is a unique feature of the campus.
The academia of the PGP programme involves individual learning and as well as group learning. The most significant pointer in the curriculum is case-based learning which is a very effective way of learning. Also, different professors have different methods of teaching which signifies the quality of teaching.
The highest CTC offered in the final placements in 67.02 LPA and the average CTC offered is 31.02 LPA in the year 2023. The placements processes although difficult to go through could, in the end of the day, give excellent offers.
The infrastructure, academics, and placements paired with the quality of education and access to great amenitites surely gives the value for money. The PGP costs per student 20.5 Lakhs and IIM Kozhikode is worth joining!
The best part of campus life at IIM Kozhikode is in learning to balance our lives with the busy schedule. No matter how much busy the day gets, one would surely show up for events and leisure activitites too - be it inside or outside the campus.
college infrastructure is good all the amenities are being provided in campus, 1st year students gets old hostel and 2nd year new ones. Connectivity is the issue, Transport problems for 1st timers. mess food is ridiculous.
Good Academic is being provided, Case based study, But it is very tiring, There is a tie up with HARVARd university, nice caselets. very hectic exams taken in every month and iim famous quizzes also. its good
Placements were nice last year, but real test is now as job market is bad, they are facing difficulty in placing students, Good for mArketing, face favoritism, and partiality during the process, but at the end everyone will get placed in finals, SIP would be a bit issue
Cant say where they spend the 25 lakhs per students, not up to the mark, mess food is really bad, you have to spend your own money to buy better taste from the mess person only, ego problem in every administrative here, created a monopoly,
green campus life, Fresh air..... note you will not get DU vibes here, less number of fests are happening . Initial 3 months would be a challenge for everyone. time flows really fast .... 3hr of sleep you will all get.
The institute is well known for its beautiful infrastructure and surroundings. Students are provided with top notch facilities. Classrooms, libraries all are well equipped and well maintained. The hostel rooms are single and double occupancy with both AC and Non AC rooms. The student sports complex and gym is well equipped .
I studied Ph.D in Management from IIM Kozhikode. The curriculum has diverse courses covering all aspects of business. The faculties are extremely helpful and supportive and go beyond in guiding students to write research papers.
The college no doubt offers one of the best placements. All students get placed in first 4 days in top companies including- MBB, HUL, ITC , JPML ,etc. The average CTC offered was 30 LPA and the highest went upto 60 LPA.
College infrastructure is premium for the premium B school it is. Campus is 500+ acres and is filled with greenery everywhere.College has single attached and common washrooms and there are MDC hallwhere programmes are held
Academics is a mixed experience where there are some good teachers and some worst parts like teachers not correcting papers and making TAs do correction. There are some micro management going on by teachers
Placements are not good in the campus in the current scenario because of market trends and there is transparency which we expect from Senior placement committee and placement chairperson who haven't taken any responsibility
Value for money is literally zero i would say because of the bad placements that happened in the campus this year. College need to improve it by employingconsultant committees for placement ship like ISB
Campus Life is good as we have various ways we can explore ourselves like toastmasters club, social service club and multiple clubs where you have the chance to improve in current industry standardsthat are required
College has a buddha park, meditators who are interested will have a peaceful time spending in the park here.Infrastructure is good overall considering the hostel and mess facilities we are given through
Academics here is good and we are being prepared to be future managers.College equips every individual with necessary skills ranging from communication skills to technical knowledge which I know will make us reach higher
Placements are good and one would get enough shortlists to convert into a good company. we get an average of 140 companies for summer internship with 3 roles on average and there is a heavy chance you'll get what you want
Value for money is a definitely yes for this college as you are getting excellent classrooms, networking with creative managers, excellent professors and good hostel rooms . There is higher chances of success here
Campus life is good with many programmes, events , activities where we are interacting with subject specialists to improve ourselves. The peer group consists people from IITs, CAs and B.com and BBA guys and girls
Good college
