ACET, Sangrur, is amongst the most renowned engineering colleges in Punjab, India. The institution teaches a wide array of courses, such as B.Tech, M.Tech, and Diploma courses in multiple streams of engineering. ACET admission process is so formulated as to admit deserving candidates based on a combination of national-level entrance tests and merit.
ACET admission process is domain-specific. For B.Tech courses, the applicants should pass 10+2 with Mathematics, Chemistry, and Physics as compulsory subjects. A minimum aggregate of 50% marks (45% in the case of reserved categories) in the qualifying exam is generally required. ACET admissions process is generally in synchronisation with the academic year, with their applications being available at the initial part of the year for commencement of the academic year in August-September.
ACET provides B.Tech courses in Computer Science Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, and Information Technology. ACET admission process is primarily through JEE Main marks. ACET college has 210 seats in these courses, out of which Computer Science, Electronics and Communication, and Mechanical Engineering have 60 seats each, and Civil Engineering has 30 seats. Students are advised to follow the centralised counselling process for seat allocation.
M.Tech is offered by the college in Computer Science and Engineering (24 seats), Electronics and Communication Engineering (12 seats), and Mechanical Engineering (12 seats). The admission is done based on scores in the GATE exam. The process of admission, according to the college, ACET admission process to M.Tech. Diploma courses in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, and Computer Science and Engineering are also offered by ACET.
