Government Polytechnic, Kushtagi Admission 2025: Dates, Registration, Fees, Eligibility

Government Polytechnic, Kushtagi, has the pride of being a technical institution imparting diploma courses in various disciplines of engineering. It is affiliated with the Department of Technical Education (DTE), Karnataka, and approved by the AICTE. The admissions are carried out according to the admission policy of DTE, Govt. Of Karnataka.

Candidates intending to seek admission to a diploma course should have completed their 10th standard examination (SSLC) or its equivalent from a recognized board. Generally, the process of admissions will start soon after the announcement of the SSLC results.

Admissions are strictly based on merit at the 10th standard. The merit scores calculation greatly emphasizes Mathematics and Science subjects. There is a possibility that candidates from within the State of Karnataka may be given preferences during the counseling/ allotment process.

Application Process

Notification: A common admission notification would be given by the Department of Technical Education (DTE), Government of Karnataka, and would be displayed on the official website of Government Polytechnic, Kushtagi.

Application Form: DTE Karnataka ne gettiri haagu avaag ke classify paadi shivanaga. The candidates have to fill the form carefully with accurate details.

Eligibility Criteria:

• Passed 10th standard (SSLC) or equivalent from a recognized board.
• Karnataka domicile (preferred during selection).
• Age and other criteria as per DTE norms.
• Document Submission: The following documents to be produced are:
• Mark sheet and passing certificate of the 10th standard
• Transfer certificate (TC)
• Caste and Income certificate (if applicable)
• Domicile certificate (if needed)
• Recent passport size photographs

Application Fee: The fee is to be paid as mentioned in the admission notification. The procedure for payment of the application fee will be mentioned in the DTE guidelines.

Merit List: A merit list will be prepared based on the marks obtained in the 10th standard, with special consideration being given to the subjects of Mathematics and Science.

Counseling and Seat Allotment: Selected candidates shall attend the centralized counseling conducted by DTE Karnataka. Candidates shall select Government Polytechnic, Kushtagi, and the course based on their merit ranking and availability of seats.

Admission Confirmation: Selected candidates need to confirm their admission by submitting their original documents and admission fees to the institute before the stipulated date.

Orientation: Near the time of admission confirmation, the institution carries out an orientation program for its fresh students to acquaint them with campus life, regulations, and facilities.

Diploma in Electronics and Communication Engineering.
Duration: 3 years | Intake: 60
Admissions are based on the merit list generated from the 10th standard, particularly mathematics and science.

Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
Duration: 3 years | Intake: 60
Admission at this level is based on academic performance in the 10th standard with respect to Science and Mathematics subjects.

Diploma in Computer Science Engineering.
Duration: 3 years | Intake: 30
Admissions are merit-based with reference to 10th standard marks obtained in particular Mathematics and Science.
